Absolutely the best physics professor I had in my undergraduate. He knows the subject cold, shows you lots of interesting stuff, and is under no illusion that you can learn anything without lots of practice. In addition, if you have an interest in some part of physics that differs from the lectures, he will show you what else you need to learn.

I really liked Mike's class. I had never taken physics before and I did quite well. Weekly textbook assignments are challenging and helpful in making yourself practice, and you get 80% just for doing it. Tests aren't too difficult, and he is generous with marking, even if your final answer is wrong!

Mike is a great and solid teacher with many years of experience. A lot of the time I can't understand what he is talking about. Weekly assignments are a great idea but way more extra studying is a must.+ is he recycles exam questions and has very fair exams, neg is that can only help so much and I think he knows that, so studying is very important.

I didn't understand any of his lectures (I struggle with physics, but some people seemed to follow along okay). Instead, I read the textbook and took thorough notes and ended up with an A (same with PHYS 114). His tests are very fair, but you have to work really hard outside of class if you want to do well. Fairly generous with marking.

Little hard to rate Freeman, as you'll find that your success in this course depends mostly on your work ethic outside of class (homework and review). Other than that, he's a good teacher, and a fairly easy going person.

Just REAd the book. Mike is too theoretical; cannot clarify practicle applications. He is also a doctor, and thingks complex ideas are simple.

He is a very good professor. His class is very interesting. He is glad to answer questions. I like he says "well...". strongly recommend his class. It is a little bit hard for you to take this course if you dont have strong back ground, but if you keep going, you will catch up. His tests are very easy if you study his assignment very carefully.

Amazing teacher, actually makes physics fun with the demonstrations (that rarely work, but you still get the idea). Will take an interest in your learning if you do. Tests were easy for the most part.

well, he is very easy in class and he put very easy midterms and final on the web but when it comes to real midterm they are hard and final is super hard!( if you are in his class, don't think the stuff on his web is comparable to the real exam!)

Don't ever take that stupid half online and half in class course again cuz you are gonna die. You are asked to do only assignments on the website and it sucked. If I knew it earlier I'd take the 2 classes/week and probably I'd learn more from Freeman. I still think Freeman is a good physics teacher.
