This is the type of class that you need to pay attention in and take very diligent notes or else you will not succeed. He does post practice exams before the test, although in my experiences they are nothing like the actual exams. If you study hard you'll do okay, but there is a lot of work that goes into this class.

He's great. Ask questions and LISTEN or you'll get confused and wonder why he keeps asking questions you have no answer to. The truth is generally that he has paved the way for you to answer it yourself, or he's already explained it repeatedly and you missed it. For everyone's sake, know the freaking fundamental idea. It's usually the answer.

He's really not that bad of a professor. You can tell he's very passionate about macroeconomics and he is very enthusiastic about it. He gives a lot of time-consuming homework and it's usually very hard. There were 4 exams and they were mad hard, but if you go to lectures, study hard, and read a little bit out of the book, you will pass with an A.

Michael is a very passionate professor for sure. But, unless you are into the material it can definitely be tough. Although, he is very helpful during his office hours and is worth paying attention to in class. Go to his class or you will struggle on homework and exams.

Super smart guy, but can be unclear. I think the tougher the class, the more useful he is. Probably a bad professor for intro econ classes. If you just use class notes to study, you won't do well. But if you read the book and listen to what he says, and think about the information, you can really learn a lot about economics from this guy.

Worst professor I've had so far. Brilliant man, but makes absolutely no sense teaching a class. Passed because I had a great TA. Would not suggest him AT ALL.

Knows a lot about economics (mainly cause he has taught it forever) but doesn't know how to teach it. goes into way to much detail for a basic econ class. his tests are pretty hard. make sure he knows who you are or you wont do as well. overall a nice man, awful teacher. i dont recommend him.

I had him for macro this past semester as well. He is a very smart man but cannot teach what he knows...at all. Seems to get frustrated when the class has no idea what he is talking about, rather than teach. His TA was helpful but did cancel the exta sessions all the time.

Awful professor. I had him for macroeconomics and it was the worst class I have taken at UNH so far. He is incredibly boring and talks and talks about nothing. Highly suggest taking macro with any other professor

I'm halfway through this semester with Goldberg and so far this has been one of my worst undergrad teaching experiences I have ever had. Dude to the lack of notes, there is nothing to study, and the TA is extremely unhelpful and cancels all her sessions. Really terrible teacher, which is really to bad because I was excited to take Macroeconomics.

Goldberg is the best undergraduate professor I've had. Don't miss class, make sure he knows who you are, and make sure he knows how yard you're trying. Speak up and let him know you care. He definitely knows what he's talking about and he wants you to understand it too.

This class is a pain in the ass, mostly because of the subject. There is so much to cover much of which is useless. I must say, Dr. Goldberg makes something boring as hell not half un-interesting. He knows which sections to focus on to get a good business context . There is alot to be learned from Goldberg, even tho the subject sucks.

One of the most competent and compelling professors at UNH. Brilliant economic mind. Very enthusiastic and makes you become enthusiastic about it as well. I recommend him to anyone, especially anyone who has interest in capital markets. Mike Goldberg is the best WSBE has to offer.

When I first entered this class I did horrible on exams and did not understand anything. Yet, just by meeting with him a few times, and attending help sessions, I was able to do well in the class. It is hard, but hes super helpful, so if you are having trouble just ask him. Hes a super nice guy!

Really nice guy. Easy to understand. Easy grade if you do the work. He has a quiz every class and you have to do weekly reading quiizes on Blackboard. If you are confused he will go out his way to help you. He gets kind of sentimental and boring sometimes but it's economics. He loves economics and it really shows in his teaching.
