doesn't use D2L to upload any grades, wait til the final dropdate deadline is over then he uploads marks on a PDF file instead on the D2L where its all properly lay out. meet him in office for your assignment "TA marked it so idk" guided notes with blanks so he force you to sit in class, at times he even miss the blanks. my class no one got > 55%

Comment:
This class is ridiculous, especially for a lower liberal. TA's mark the three papers you hand in & they mark completely randomly. Got all "perfect's" on the rubric for one paper and was given an 82 with no feedback. 78 on another paper & the only feedback was to change "I'm" to "I am". TA's mark terribly, and i assume are given 0 guidance.

Seems to care about the content. Final exam gave you 2/4 options to complete in terms of sections. This class is not a walk in the park, take another class or at least make sure the final is not stacked on top of another the same day, give yourself a week to study for it. it had many odd, obscure questions & written parts seemed arbitrarily marked.

I took Bardecki for GEO312, Viva Las Vegas! He is a really nice guy and extremely well-versed in all things Sin City. Class focuses on all aspects of Vegas - early history, casino gambling, environment, social issues. Some lectures can be dry if you aren't interested in the topics. Gives guided notes, final was all multiple choice. Easy A

Marks too hard, doesn't put up slides so we know what is on. Doesn't even follow his own notes.

Michael is a nice person, but his lectures can be very dry. He expects you to come to class since he gives out fill in the blank notes which are essential for the exam and paper. The exam was take home, but he actually gave us a week to complete it which was nice. He can be vague with details about assignments and exams

Complete lecture slides are not given. He expects you to come to class with his "guided notes" which are notes with fill in the blanks "Supposedly" in correspondence with the lecture slides. I got lost with where he was in the notes, so often times they were blank. The course itself is 25% about Las Vegas, which is misleading to the title.

Bardecki is a genuinely nice person, who is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject he is teaching. I have taken a lot of environmental related courses, and find them to sometimes be redundant, but I learned a lot of new and valuable information from this class. He truly cares about students and wants them to succeed.

He is a nice guy but his lecture was boring. But he is willing to help students. No textbook required. Attendence was very low as well, most notes are fill in blank type. Not much tests but exam is hard, you need to pay attention on his notes.

He is very knowledgeable. The course was a little information heavy and does not share the slides but provided guided notes. TA's mark the essays fair. Course content was interesting, unclear about the readings he never mentions them. This course was a fun liberal. He is well intentioned but some lectures were hard to follow how to study.

Simple Course Outline - 2 Tests (20% Each), 2 Essays (25% Each) and then some in-class quizzes. Quizzes were annoying since they were unannounced and on random stuff - what's happening in world that week. Course has little to do with Las Vegas, more about US in general. Little bit disorganized with weekly classes.

Passionate man and very knowledgable in Las Vegas. There were 2 essay (25%each), 2 tests (20%each) and some in-class quizzes; no exam. This course name is very deceiving; we didnt even focus on the aspects of Las Vegas till the last 3 classes. We mostly talked about the US economy. The TA were relentless when marking the essays; horrible. I Got a B

A passionate prof; he's so interested in what he teaches (Vegas course). Although he doesn't use the text extensively, you probably would need it for the exam. Exam is hardcore, so do good on the essays. He's extremely knowldgable about Geography, so take advantage of the time you have to spend with him. Lectures are very educational & interesting

A decent teacher. The course range is really wide, learning much more than you think it would be. The essay topic was very tough, connecting narcissism and Las Vegas together? There is no direct relationship, really hard to relate together and no enough sources at all. My essay comments are : not related to the topic or irrelevent materials...

This course wasn't entirely horrible. We didn't use a text because its not even being printed anymore. Bardecki is really REALLY boring with really REALLY corny 'jokes'. I find him to be rude and not helpful at all. He made what I thought would be a fun course into a lame experience.
