I'm glad I'm not a social studies major after I took Kalmes's class!! Took forever to grade stuff and then had to scramble to resubmit everything back to him at end of the semester. Also went on long tangents!! Had to take his class for elementary education social studies methods

If you value your sanity, do not take a class with him. Of course, if you want to learn about colonizing Mars and hear him whine about not being an astronaut, then go ahead. I've learned more about politics and government talking with my family than I have taking a COLLEGE class. It's a waste of your time.

I never know what is going on in this class. He is so confusing and always sidetracks. He talks to the students like they already know the things he is talking about when they have no clue. I got nothing out of this class, the only thing that saved every student was the curve at the end of the semester.
