I really like Santare as a person but as a professor he's lacking. He barely covers 1/2 of the course material in class. The rest you have to learn from the textbook. Don't expect him to give you any idea how grades are curved or really weighted at all; he doesn't know either. Great guy but I'd only take him to avoid foreign teachers.

His teaching style really changes when its on a subject he's enthusiastic about like this course. Makes mistakes but explains things well in general. Is a cool guy who keeps the class interesting, motivating the topics.

Honestly I couldn't stand going to class. Until after the 1st exam, he was totally useless. I learned 100% from the book. He was better at explaining the material after the 1st exam. You'll spend most your time on labs, homework is easy. Final wasn't bad and neither were the tests.

Santare is definitely the best prof I have had so far at UD. Subject is interesting and easy to understand and Santare does plenty of examples to explain the hw and test problems. Often a bit overenthusiastic for a morning class, but did get students excited about the material. HW & tests are easy and you will spend most time on lab reports.

Going to lecture is completely useless. Find out the topics he covered in class and teach yourself from the textbook. Very nice guy is very energentic about his teaching and for some odd reason love potatoes. Lab is even more pointless than lecture, the only difference being you acutally get a grade for lab. Also, labs are very difficult. Potatoes.

Prof. Santare is a really energetic professor who knows his stuff and seems to be excited to be teaching solid mechanics. Can be a bit hard to deal with at times, but if you go to class and review your notes you'll understand everything. Exams aren't difficult if you study. Worst part of this class was the lab.

Santare is a boring teacher who loves to compare things to potatoes. He knows what he's doing, but is so unhelpful in class. You might as well not go to class and teach yourself. His office hours are even more useless. He refused to offer any help on the homeworks. Avoid him for MEEG if at all possible.

Santare is really into the material and really knows what he's talking about, but he isn't very helpful if you need something explained again. Homeworks took around 4 hours a week, exams were fair, final was hard. Luckily the class isn't hard overall, because you're going to be spending all of your time working on Dynamics.

Dr. Santare does a good job keeping students' attentions for an extremely boring subject, unless you love structural analysis. Not difficult, just know your formulae and how to apply them. I spent most of my time throughout the week doing my Dynamics homework and did the Solids work the night before it was due.

Prof Santare keeps class really interesting, and has a great attitude. Exams are similar to practice exams with a twist. Weekly homework assignments and quizzes are given, which can be annoying sometimes. But still one of the best engineering professors.

Santare as a prof is great. He has an awesome attitude and lets just say youll have a hard time sleeping in class. He tends to throw jokes in every once in a while and has good intentions overall. However, he does very little examples in class (such as homework type problems and exam problems). Th exams are hard, and the labs help your grade.
