The class was interesting a few times throughout the semester but his constant jokes extended class too much. He also allowed a girl to interrupt every 5 times. One of the keener know it alls so that was annoying. But if you study good 95% of the test will be a joke, the last 5 % make no sense,no one got an A+.What he wanted on assignment not clear

Awesome prof, one of my favorites, made a three hour night class bearable, absolutely hilarious and makes things really interesting

This class was actually kind of hard for a 200 lvl. Snyder is a nice guy, but he tells jokes for 1/4 of the class. I found the wording of his exams tricky, and it is all applied questions. Did well on the 1st assignment, but I worked on the 2nd in advance and got a low mark, so make sure you understand the questions. Assignments are worth a lot.

Very Nice guy, very approachable. Did not enjoy his class, found it hard to study for exams because he explains things in a very round about way and often drags on concepts, felt like the classes didnt really help as much as they should. I felt like i had to study from the text book. Assignments are long but do able, just takes time.

He shouts all the time and the material is very boring. It's mostly about lab rats and pigeons. The assignments are really tough, so make sure you give yourself lots of time to get them done. He also allows a lot of interruptions that are irrelevant to the class. Would not recommend. Could be really interesting if someone else taught it.

I liked this guy, he did his best to make learning and behaviour entertaining. All his lectures are podcasted (which is very useful), and he's a nice guy who'll gladly answer your questions. Exams are applications of the ideas, but at this level, that isn't too difficult. I reccomend him.

His lectures were not the most exciting, especially in the three-hour classes in Spring session. I felt that he spent a lot of time talking about a small amount of material, which was probably helpful for some students as he gave a lot of examples, but I found it tedious. Reading the textbook was more helpful, but he's a decent guy, very smart.

Not the greatest prof, but nice guy who tries hard to make you laugh. Podcasts for all the classes, so if you missed a lecture it was okay. Babbles alot and doesn't directly refer to the textbook. Assignments were doable. The final was tough. Tests on applied knowledge and situations rather than straight theory and definitions. Wouldn't recommend.

I went to one class and left when he said he records all his classes and puts them online. Fast forwarded A LOT through them though cause he babbles and goes on too many tangents. Was glad to be able to fast forward all that garbage, ended up with a great mark

as a prof he was alright, the only plus for coming to class was that u dont fall behind.the text had alot of interesting reallife examples. test were not hard but not easy either. hated how assignments were worth 40%. however, its not curved so pulling off a B for me was do-able. not the hardest psych course but def not straightforward either.

He is a really helpful kind prof and he wants his students to do well, yes he is quirky and goes off on tangents but I would rather a prof who keeps your attention than one who never deviates from the material and bores you, this material could be DRY but his enthusiasm and side comments stop that from happening. STUDY HARD and you'll do well :)

A really horrible prof for a night class. He talks and talks and doesn't get to the point. He just makes so many stupid jokes. Class is easy to do decently in, but it's hard to get that A, if that's what you are looking for. Overall, just a really boring class. Nice that he posted podcasts though.

Dr. Snyder is awesome! He is so knowledgeable on the topics that he teaches. If you take the time to actually go and see him outside of class he is really helpful and really does want the best for his students. Just because the material is so accessible doesn't mean you don't need to try. Just like any other class, study and you'll do well.

He tries to be funny even on exams. Had a lot of trouble understanding his question cause humour was apparently more important than clarity!

Oi Vey. Get to the point! Snyder is nice enough and tries to be funny, but his lectures hit a certain point after which they just drag on forever. He spends far too much time on irrelevant jokes and examples and it gets painful. He does post podcasts, which is nice. Bottom line: read the textbook and you do fine. Seriously.

Nice guy. Tries hard to make lectures lively and fun. Unfortunately, he is not careful with his wording (spoken or written) and responds to questions without even making an attempt to understand them (again, both spoken and written).

Good course to take. Snyder's 3 hour lectures are incredibly difficult to sit through and pay attention for the entire time, but he makes up for that by posting podcasts of all his lectures (extremely useful!) Exams are not too difficult and assignments are time consuming but they are not impossible to get a good mark on.

MEMORIZE TEXT. MEMORIZE NOTES. Dont need to go to class because he uploads podcasts - which I find so much better because you actually listen to them as opposed to doodling in class while hes talking. Hard to get an A in this class. Paper is really dumb and brings mark down. Midterm 1 was hard, 2 was easier but final was hard. Overall- STUDY HARD.

Great professor, great class. Notes follow the text pretty well so just read the text and go over the notes and youre golden. He also puts podcast of each lecture online in case you miss class. Paper is nice since the topics are so broad.

Small class, no exams but he lectured the entire time to about a total of 8-12 students with no discussion or participation type exercises (He loves to hear himself talk). No point in attendance but he would send flustered e-mails about low attendance, I wonder why? A lot of work outside or class that should have been done during class hours.
