Doesn't use course capture or even powerpoint, just a chalkboard, so make sure you come to class and take good notes. The only grades are lab and exams (practice problems aren't but his exams are so long that you get a lot of easy points so the average is usually around an 85-90. Pre-labs are really unfair but won't impact your grade too much

He is a great Professor but just old fashioned. He doesn't have UD capture so class is mandatory or you will be studying more information than needed for exams. As long as you do the specific practice problems he assigns and you put in the effort you will do great. Also the textbook is very helpful.

I took 103 with Wingrave in the fall and let's just say his reviews are pretty accurate. Stemniski is so much better. He grades for application, not memorization. He gives you every formula you need. You just have to make sure you know how to use it. He gives you a rundown of every exam so you know exactly what to expect and never gives surprises.

If you're able to take Chem 103 or 104 with him do it! Amazing Professor, helps you understand Chemistry the best, works with you in office hours if you do not understand certain things. His test are right to the point, no confusing questions, make sure to show up to class, lectures are very helpful! I took BOTH 103 and 104 with him

Amazing CHEM prof! Very easy to understand the concepts with his explanations. Though the exams are challenging, they are still based on the material worked on. Attendance was not mandatory but if you go to his lectures you won't need to study as hard. The textbook is also so useful. Great professor.

He is a great professor. It's hard to not pay attention in class because his material is very interesting and he always tries to apply it to real life. He also throws random jokes. Regarding the grade, you can get an easy A by just paying attention in class and going through the study guide. I got an A and never bought the book.

Amazing teacher!! I struggled thru chem103. Horrible teacher for that one. Prof. Stemniski made learning chemistry (a class i previously hated) interesting and very understandable. I wish he taught organic!

I LOVED this professor! It's ALOT of material so going to class is pretty important. Don't use the textbook often, just for the HW problems he assigns(which are helpful!). If you take notes,do the HW and study in advanced, an A is not impossible. I got B's on my tests and aced the final to get a final grade of A-. Highly recommend this teacher!

He is amazing. I never rate teachers but he is worth rating. Attend class, pay attention to everything he says and you can make an A in this class. There are no words to describe how awesome he is! Best professor i've had yet. I will be taking another class with him in summer/winter session if possible! Must Take if you can!

I didn't do that great, BUT I could have done so much worse if it wasn't for Stemniski , seriously if you do bad in his class it's your fault. I got a C+ , but that was my fault, honestly his class was laid out , problems solved, he worked with you and he's very accomodating. I missed a test and he allowed me to make it up no questions asked.

Doc is the best professor at UD!!! his tests are easy and he loves to help you out with any questions, he was also a hs teacher before, chemistry is a difficult subject but he makes it fun and interesting.. I wish he would teach more chem courses, If you are not good in chem then take Doc!!!

Stemniski is AWESOME. I had a decent grasp of Chem from highschool chem/ap physics but i still learned a lot from him! He knows his stuff and can explain it so anyone can understand! Awesome teacher! Hope he gets recognized for his outstanding work!

Doc is the best teacher ever. He used to teach highschool so he is very good about expaining things in the simplest way possible! The first few tests are relatively easy, so I recommend doing really well on the first few. Becuase the last tests are alot of imformation. But, all in all I highly recommed him.
