Very good instructor who knows his material. If you watch him closely you'll appreciate his ability to grasp onto new concepts. He still has that spark in his eyes when hearing something new about programming.

If you're considering taking his class, please do. He's legitimately one of the best teachers I've had, and his quizzes and tests are extremely representative of the material covered in class.

Michael is a great professor. His lectures are informative and he has a lot of funny and interesting stories that keep the classes engaging. There weren't many assignments so there's not much room for error and you'll need to talk to him 1 on 1 to get good feedback, but he's very nice and helpful when you do. Beware quiz 2 it's very difficult!

My biggest gripes were tough grading combined with ambiguous directions and unclear feedback and having to contact him for additional feedback on assignments. Also the midterm was a fiasco which had to be dropped due to little notice as mentioned below. He did help me if asked and went out of his was to be more than fair. Recommend friends/peers.

I signed up for an online class because of the positive feedback, turns out he is the worst online professor I've ever had. I've e-mailed him a few times and got little that was meaningful in response - very terse answers. I still don't know what I did wrong on my last assignment. In-class students have lectures, online students are on their own.

Online students beware! Joined due to good reviews here, but severely lacks an online presence. The presence that is there, sounds very contrived and snarky. Responses across multiple discussion boards portrayed a talking-down attitude. Also sprung an in-person required midterm with 2 days notice. I take online for a reason!

Trigoboff will be the instructor from college I will never forget. I thought he explained things very well. I get a vibe from him that really makes him seem passionate about teaching the material. That's pretty rare for a CS instructor..

Best professor ever. He is the perfect mix of not too difficult, but you still learn a ton. I took a lot of classes with him and I feel like an expert on all of the material, his lectures are great, homework is balanced, grading is clear, feedback is quick, very nice guy. I feel like I have an advantage having learned from him.

Great teacher! He has been programming since the days of old and knows what he is talking about. His lectures were awesome! They were funny, informative and educational. I think the only thing that I had a problem with was the 2nd quiz which I think I grew some grey hairs over the amount of stress that I had while doing it.I would def take him again!

One of the best instructors I've ever had! Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, clear. Always a pleasure to be in his class. He likes to tell plenty of stories that are slightly off-topic, but they are always informative, interesting, and even funny! Highly, highly recommended!

Dr. Trigoboff will be one of the best instructors you will ever take in computer science. He is one of those rare teachers who makes the subject interesting and challenges you, and yet you will never feel like you're in over your head in his classes. I've taken several classes with him, all of them excellent.

My favorite CS teacher, I took most of my CS classes from him and really enjoyed his courses. His online and in-class courses are set up so that online students can show up in lecture (which is highly beneficial). He's a fair grader with lots of experience in his field and he's passionate about what he teaches. He's super approachable, etc :)

Took this instructor based on these reviews..was a good decision as he is very knowledgable(understatement). Refreshing to have an instructor with decades of "real" world experience rather than the usual academian generally disconnected from the industry. Only regret was not having more time to devote to class, my house sold in 2 days after listing

Teacher good with C, terrible with Java. Class was so bad people stopped attending by mid-quarter. No support on the website. Just tells stories about past. Does not teach Java syntax, libraries, use of BlueJay or anything else you need. Last C++ program a nightmare. Slow to respond to email or online. Don't bother to ask questions, won't help.

Great guy and great teacher. He has an extreme passion for Computer science and is more than willing to share that with is students. He is an old time computer hacker and can tell you tons about things you did not even know existed. I have taken many classes at PCC and he is my favorite teacher to date. Highly recommended.

CS261 Adv Java/C++. Friendly and excellent instructor who is at the A+ level of computer science instructors. Very enjoyable, superbly crafted lectures and assignments. I loved the high practical and theoretical expertise level he brought to his classes. If you wish to become a programmer this is the Dojo Master!

Took him for the entire 200-level CS sequence. I highly recommend this professor, probably the best at PCC. The designs of his assignments were praised by professional programmers, as they provided an appropriate challenge without being tricky. Knows A LOT. Interesting lectures with real-world examples. GO TO CLASS, even though it's not required.

gave good template programs that had the core done so we could focus on the new material. Wish some of the programs had been broken into smaller chunks (i.e. every programmer I've asked says that a "Quack" data type is a quack indeed...that's two assignments, a queue and a stack). graded fair, but hope for more care than grading-scripts from a CC
