She's any extremely easy grader! You watch movies in class and write 2 papers, there are also quizzes for some of the books. She does ditch class sometimes and goes off topic. I got an A in the class, barely went and failed all the quizzes.

The only reason people like her is because she is really really easy and really really nice but her class is complete crap. She clearly does not care enough to prepare anything for even one day of class. My class met three times a week for an entire semester and we watched movies all except 6 classes. I really liked her class. Interesting reading and discussions. A little boring, but very easy. Just two papers, nothing else. Make sure you visit her office hours; will give great help! Very funny and personable. Extremely easy going.

Easy class, but very frustrating. Jaffey lacked any sense of structure. While nice and personable, she was always disorganized, which manifested itself by losing students' assignments and a lot of redundant assignments.

Fun lady. Class could have used a little more structure, but I had a great time and walked away with some valuable tools. It's always great when your teacher isn't afraid to curse in class. I have the utmost respect for professors who speak what's on their mind. Nice woman, good grader, and makes you think. Take her!!!

I love poetry, but I just found this class to be a little too boring. I think it would have been better if she had put us into groups or something, so it wasn't only the same 3 or 4 people talking each week. But the class is almost ridiculously easy. Write 4 poems and write a paper on your favorite poet... that's about it. No tests. But... boring.

She is a funny, witty teacher. I liked her class, the material of books & film were very interesting. Show up 4 the DICUSSIONS of the books & films, because most people won't read the books & the ESSAYS will be heavily graded on the material. Take good notes on dicussions to help with your essays, you'll be fine! & try not to skip class too much.

I don't understand some of the comments about her. The class isn't hard at all. All you have to do is read the books; I even got by just skimming the books and reading summaries online. There are two 10-12 page papers, but that's all. She doesn't grade hard at all unless you copy someone else's work. Just do your own work, and you'll be fine.

maggie was great! she is such a character and very funny to listen to. shes very intersted in literature. alot of reading obvioulsy but most of it is interesting and she shows movies. class is two 12 pages papers, one is the final. theres no prompt, just a 'response' and she really only grades negatively, doesnt complement your writing.

Look at the comments about her. The idiots on here can hardly spell, never mind appreciate a great writer, poet, and person. She is incredibly smart, open-minded, willing to help, and interested in education. For attendence she passed around a sheet of paper and u crossed off your name if u were present. She talks about**** and sexuality a lot, very interesting topic to her.

Do not take this professor. Assignments kept changing. Didn't even read the books we wrote readers responses on. Could not follow simple ideas presented in essays. Grammar lessons ineffective. We argued with her about correct grammar and students were usually right. Really nice professor, but don't learn much.
