Although lectures can get a little boring, he throws things in where if you actually pay attention, it's kind of funny and mess with your mind. It's pretty great. Also, the authors you read about in 213 are amazing and you will not be bored.

This was my first class as an English major and a month and a half into the semester I ended up switching majors. Difficult class covering a lot of older British literature. I wasn't familiar coming into class so I felt left behind. Difficult grader on quizzes and exams. Final project is a giant MLA citation, which he is very particular about.

My 201 class met once a week for 2.5 hours. In that time, most of his lecture was rambling about topics that wouldn't be on a test. He doesn't give grades or feedback on most of the assignments so I don't know my overall grade in his class. He's a nice enough guy and will help when needed, but he could work on feedback and grading.

Accent puts you to sleep so bring caffeine till you adjust! He's very insistent that his way of work cited is the correct way so if you get it wrong, your grades suffer. Even outside of that, the guy can be a harsh grader. If you want a C at LEAST, then use the textbook!

Inconsistent grading- minus, check, check plus, plus? plus plus? Impossible to know actual grade. Actually TOLD us the week before that Exam (10 pages long) was over NOTHING we talked about in class. Highest grade was an F then. We have a massive project, another intense project, and finals all due the last week. Disorganized. Lost students' work.

He is entertaining and very dull at the same time. He has funny jokes,to help pass the time. This class is just a gateway class though, so there is not much structure. He is very friendly and SUPER helpful! The amount of work thrown at you near the end of the semester is stressful, but otherwise he is a really nice professor!

Hate this professor. As I'm just beginning an English major, he makes me lose faith in the department as he is the head of it. He is very unorganized which makes for an incredibly long 2.5 hour night class and frankly a waste of my time and everyone else's. The Bennett and Royle book is the best part of the class, once you get over his accent that is.

He really knows what he is talking about, however the lecture can get a bit long. He cancels class a lot and always let us go early which was a plus. He isn't a super tough grader, however you do need to understand the material in order to do the assignments. You can't just zone out the whole class.

Definately needs to be more structured. He gets loooong winded at times, and rather dry at times, but other times he is easy and fun to listen to. He seems to get overwhelmed with duties and that takes away from his availability and helpfulness. It seems like he has so many ideas that he can't get them all out. Very knowledgeable and intelligent.

A hard class, but a great prof to have cuz he's the chair of the English dept. His welsh accent is awesome, called my class buggers once lol! He's very disorganized and his tests can be very very hard, but the due dates for the assignments are very "squishy" so you can turn them in whenever you can. Take him, he's amusing and knows english lit.

This guy is hilarious! His accent is fun and he cracks the oddest jokes. However, his syllabus and assignments are really hard to follow. His deadlines are really lenient so you can turn stuff in whenever you need. His lectures are boring and hard to follow unless he cracks a joke or something.

His accent is great and he's funny, but he's pretty disorganized-that can be good or bad. I didn't like it cuz I like to know what I'm doing and when its due. But it was also good because halfway through the semester he just said "Sod it, just it turn everything by the end of the year." So we had a TON of time to finish our projects. He's okay!
