Comment:
The most thoughtful professor. Extremely caring and put an insane amount of effort into his students. His lectures material is super boring, but I had him for 3 classes in my final year and I would have him again. In his office hours, for research papers, he will take so much time with you. Which will push back appointments, but so kind of him.

Comment:
Professor Demers supervised our research paper and he was wonderful. His meetings often started late, and always ran over-time, but ultimately that was due to the level of attention that he was giving to each group that he met with. He is extremely kind and understanding - if you need help, guidance, an extension, etc., he is very accommodating.

He scroll handouts . He don't give assignment and no computer based practice. He simply post disordered handouts. He scan exercises from books and post it which are not even relevant. He call students as if he were to held office hours but at different time, &students hardly know where is office hours. He marks grade irresponsible and he change .

Prof Demers has to be the sweetest prof at Carleton. Super understanding and always tries to help. He will take ages trying to help you understand. However, the class is extremely boring and he simply reads off a textbook slide. Its impossible to understand the content in class, you must spend a lot of time on your own.

Intelligent professor with a heart of pure gold. I feel like a lot of criticisms on this page (boring, regurgitates, etc) are unwarranted because they were written by students who just flat out didn't care about what they were studying. It's inherently "dry" material, but he knows it inside-and-out, and is clearly very passionate about it.

The guy is the worlds most boring individual. He also went on random tangents against the Prime Minister during math class. As they say in monday night football: C'mon man! Would rather suffer gun shot wound than try this class again.

Regurgitates the textbook. Not helpful at all. He is always late for class and ends classes late. Good person but a horrible professor. Do not take a class with him if you can help it.

Not a great professor. He copied directly from the textbook for three hours each week and gave an extremely easy mid-term and brutaly difficult final. He is smart but not a good teacher.

One wonders why profs who have absolutely no clue about basic Finance can actually be teaching Finance, perhaps one who use options on mondays and prefer futures on tuesdays?

He can answer any question, but he just stands in one spot for the whole class and reads the powerpoint slides. Although, he has the ability to take a complicated topic and simplify it. He's intelligent.
