Comment:
really intriguing lecture material and the textbook is alright. can get really statistic specific so it can be even hard even if you have your materials out for assessment. Weekly chapter quizzes are alright i recommend reading the chapter once and reading it back over before the quiz. I found the second test and the final really hard but doable.

Reed is one of the best professors I've had. Her class is very enjoyable and the lectures are never boring. Her teaching style is easy to follow and she is clear about the structure of her exams. Although she makes you work hard for your grade, she genuinely cares about her students. Reed is very passionate about psychology and it shows

Ms. Reed is one of the best professors I've ever had! She makes the class so interesting, even though her material is difficult. She does make you work hard for an A, but it is worth it and you will learn so much. I would definitely recommend her for someone going into psychology, or if you want to learn more about it.

I enrolled in this online course to satisfy a requirement to apply for a graduate program. I dropped it with an "A" after 3 quizzes. In my opinion, the quizzes were written be difficult rather than an assessment of understanding of the material. I would not recommend taking any course from this instructor.

Even though I took her online class I could tell she really wanted every one of us to pass! I accidentally missed the final and emailed her my situation and she was SO understanding and let me re take it! Even though her quizzes &tests are kind of difficult- she does everything she can (xtra credit opportunities and SOME retakes) to help you pass!

Professor Reed is tough, but an excellent teacher who knows what she's doing. 4 tests, including final, consisting of 50 mc questions from textbook, and memorized essay plus short answers from lectures/films/online posts. 1 6-12 pg paper in the end. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! You're screwed if you do. 20 pts of extra credit is offered!

I think she is misjudged although difficult, she really cares about her students and wouldn't want something bad to happen to them. She is a tough grader but it is fair and thorough compared to other psychology professors. For an upper level psych course she is direct with grading and fair on the tests, dropping the lowest test score.

Dr. Reed was one of the strictest professors I've had at West Valley College. I had to drop her class because I failed all of her online quizzes and barely passed her exams. If you really need this course because of your major or GE, I suggest taking this class with a different professor. Good luck to those who are still enrolled in her class!

I do not recommend this class in the winter, NOT a condensed course. You have to read an entire chapter a day, along with multiple outside articles, pamplets, short PDFs and videos. Information coming from all directions and All relate to tests! Spend 7 days a week trying to feel caught up! Great teacher, material, & EC just tough to stay ahead!

Reminded me how much time I have, and that I can do so much with my life. Would never retake this class, why would anyone retake a class, move on! LOL! Woke many days at 5 am repeating an essay in my head, also on bus rides home for first exam and got this: F. Passed the class though, and you can too. Do mind maps to memorize essays. Sit in front!!

She's hilarious and every lecture is a blast and she DOES test heavy from her lecture so pay attention and take extensive notes. Not much to do assignment-wise, just the tests. She does give extra credit which helps a lot. Her tests are very exhaustive though and you have to be able to manage your time well or else you'll fall behind easily.

This class was not extremely hard but you definitely have to try. I got an A by studying a lot and watching EVERYTHING she puts in the lectures online. She includes everything on her tests which are fill in the blank mainly. Do the extra credit cause it helps a lot.

I took psych 7 with Reed prior to taking this class so I knew what to expect from her. It's challenging & you really need to study for the tests. If you miss classes on a regular or don't make an effort to learn or study, you're probably not going to pass. Go to her office hours if you need help, she's trying to prepare you for a University course.

You'll be fine if you do everything you're supposed to, take all of the online quizzes on time, take good lecture notes, and read up on the weekly assignments on canvas we need. The class average was about a D but I got an A+ just by studying hard the day before a test. If you try you will do good.

Michelle Reed is hilarious, organised and entertaining through and through. Her tests may be a bit difficult but honestly, she gives you everything you need in order to pass and if you don't, it's on you. You do have to read a chapter or two every week and take an online test, and she drops your lowest quiz score so go her :)

Michelle's class is very informational and yes it is interesting however there is so much reading she has multiple choice exams from the text book and short answer/essays from her lecture and she does not grade on a curve in order to keep up you must, i repeat must study and read every day. So if ur taking any other classes good luck,
