Awesome teacher! Dr. Covasa is extremely helpful, he really cares about the students and whether they understood the material. I learned a lot from taking his class. He makes you work but is worthwhile. If you take Nutr 251 just for GenEd credits, and not putting any effort in it forget about it. This is a science class.

Not a very good professor at all!!! Notes were worthless, read the book! I went to every class and still struggles on the exams. I wasn't able to go to all the reviews,but they are helpful. I would NOT take this professor again!

Okay this guys a really bad professor. He creates and enviornment horrible for learning. Makes jokes about the material and they are so bad that the class CANT tell if hes joking. Then he just smiles when asked and refuses to answer. Ive gotten questions wrong because of that. Also his exams are on the most pointless information..its all memorizing

Funny guy who tries to keep it light despite the fact hes a boring teacher. Just reads off his powerpoint slides all class, which are online so you really dont need to go to class. Read the book and you will be fine. A few ?s are from class but basically you dont need to be there. Good guy but not a great prof. EASY tests if you read and makeeffort

Funny guy, not a great professor. Class required lots of memorization of details, the kind that you forget after you take the class. Complete lack of conceptual learning. His powerpoint slides sucked. Lots of work for a nutrition class; my friends who took the same class with different professors had significantly less work.

worst teacher i've had at penn state so far.. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH MIHAI unless you want to lower your GPA. has no idea how to teach and needs to be pulled from the position...trust me, take a diff prof for nutrition.

The course was extremely tough. The prof is not very helpful. Also talks funny. I totally agree with the comments listed earlier. I lost my 4.0 thanks to him. Also can get very oldy, meany and irritable if any suggestions are made in reference to his course.
