The best professor in the program. His class is difficult, you'll really work for your grade but it's incredibly rewarding. Two quizzes based solely on reading, two papers, one group presentation, no final! He's the most passionate professor and his lectures are captivating! He's an amazing social worker, professor and mentor

He is one of those people I am just glad I ever met! He is an amazing teacher, and he connects everything with the real world. His style is very engaging. and by the end of class you feel you learned something useful. The assignments and readings are also great. Helpful even if you are doing clinical track.

I took this class in the summer. Eichler is SO passionate about what he teaches and he explains it very well. He gives 2 quizzes (keep up with the reading) & 2 papers (which were easy to write about) and one partner presentation. TAKE this class! you can't go wrong!

Very passionate about subject & his class is so exciting - he makes a 2.5 hour class go so quickly. 2 quizzes, 2 papers, 1 short presentation. Hard grader but very helpful when asked. You will learn so much in this class. He expects a lot but you will be a better student for it. Also, he kind of looks like a chipmunk, but in a cute/cool/smart way.

As everyone said he is a wonder instructor and grades fairly. Awesome and fun class. Attendance is important because if you miss class often he gets really upset. The only neg. thing I have to say about him is that he is not a very social person. He will walk by you and won't say hi. How ironic? And he teaches us about social capital?

Teaches real life situations to clarify textbook jargon. He will not move ahead until you understand. This is one subject you'll understand when the class is done. You accept whatever grade is given because he is fair. He is organized, consistent, and passionate. I think every SDSU student should be required to take this class from him. Excellent!

Dr. Eichler is an excellent professor. He is passionate about his subject and it is contagious. Concentrate on what's covered in class for the readings. The only complaint I have is that he comes off harsh in his criticism of micro practice. Also, he has a tendancy to talk about other students negatively when they are not present.
