Hinson knows his stuff. When it comes to the popculture incidents and article analyses, he grades really easy. However, he grades the review of literatures hard, so make sure to proof read it a few times. Other then that, I enjoyed his class.

Knows his stuff. Class was really interesting, and its in developement so maybe it'll get better. Split grading with a course grader who we never saw and who gave no feedback. When he graded something, he actually gave TOO much feedback...what a concept! Ladies, kind of cute in a nerdy way. He gets a pepper :)

never commented on these things, but given one of the comments I had to add my two cents. Mike is the nicest teacher I've had. Incredibly helpful, willing to go out of his way to make sure you learn. Highly recommend him. He doesn't put up with any crap, though, so do your work and don't make excuses.

Mike Hinson is a self-centered **** who thinks he knows it all. He is afraid of confrontations and therefore should never be allowed to teach a communications course involving conflict and negotiations. He is quick to have others resolve his problems instead of doing so himself.

nice guy but hard grader. he counts points off for stupid things but grade overall comes out okay. he cancelled class quite a bit. projects pretty unclear unless you ask questions. tests are really easy if you study. even though i spent a lot of time on papers, i still got a bad grade. overall a good teacher but a semi-difficult A.

He is kinda flaky. If you are all about sticking to the syllabus...forget it. His class is really easy though. There are two tests and he gives really GOOd study guides for them. They basically tell you everything on the test. Good teacher.

He is not very good about returning grades. The class is very interesting and I liked it. I learned a lot about technology as well as how to use that technology. There are 2 tests, 7 units two weeks each, write a paper and post 4 messages to the board for each. There are also 3 30 minut chats.
