I took FIN401 once before and dropped it as I was not prepared for the course material. This time was much better around. The Finance Labs are worth 20% of your mark and you should be able to get 100% fairly easily on them. Mike goes through each equation with you and makes difficult formulas seem easy. Bonus marks homework is sometimes assigned.

Prof Inglis is a great prof and teaches well to all the students. His practice tests, textbook practice questions, and group project questions are very similar to the midterm and final. Just practice and work hard in his class and you'll do well.

He's a decent prof and teaches well that is easy to understand, his tests and final aren't hard as long as you do the practice questions in the textbook. Decent prof and definitely recommend.

Mike's lectures were very hard to grasp as he will go through the material very quickly skipping some key fundamentals. Nevertheless, its important to read/ practise the chapters regularly in order to do well. He gives bonus assignments and bell curves which is a plus!

Not interested in finance and never will be but Mike was a good prof. His personalized slides made it easy to understand the concepts (instead of the usual textbook slides). Made the course applicable to the real world. IMO you have to practice to actually get a good grade in FIN 300 no matter which prof you get.

The course itself is a lot of work because you have an excel assignment every single week, but he's very helpful with the assignments if you ask him for help during class times and during his office hours. Pretty easy course if you put the work in. There was a 2% bonus mark for filling out a survey and a 5% bonus mark for having a bloomberg certifi

I took this course during the Spring with Mike. He gives at least 6-7 1% bonus assignments that really help. You have to attend his lectures to do well in his course. He goes through specific examples step by step. For both my midterm and final, Mike bell curved everyone's grade so it is higher.

Michael is a really good finance professor, he really cares for the students and gives out bonus homework question for you to gain 1% here and there. He gives about 5-6 bonus HW so take advantage of that. The lecture is dry but you'll need to go to Lec to understand the material and the examples he does is key. GO TO LECTURE if you want to pass!!!!

inglis dunno how to explain things. never did any weekly assignments and got 100%. got someone to send me their assignment, blessss! TA gives everyone 100% even if u hand in the same thing because they dun check the ans and code. submitted a random code caz we dunno wat to do and got 100% as well

He mumbles and talks pretty fast, BUT he explains the concepts in a way for you to actually understand them, not just to memorize them. Come to class, sit in the front, follow along with his provided slides, take notes, go home and do practice questions in the book - you'll be set.

He gives assignment that clearly reflects the material taught in class, the assignment needs to be done with other studnets in class if one wishes to succeed well in class, he knows the program being taught extremely well and is definitely approachable but class can fly by very fast and catching up can be hard to do
