Dr. Kingston is easily one of the greatest professors at Elon. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the material, he is also hilarious (bested only by Dr. Touchette). The lab was both practical and enjoyable. Fall semester 2013.

Dr. Kingston is a such a science nerd its adorable and hilarious at the same time. He's a really good and nice guy who actually cares about how you're doing in his class. His tests are borderline impossible as the class average for tests is hovering at 72... For biodiversity if theres someone else id recommend choosing someone else if you want an A

Though the lectures could be long and would test my attention span, he makes the subject pretty interesting, and I really enjoyed the class. One of the best professors I've had in college.

Although it was clear he was passionate about the subject, he was very scatterbrained and NEVER tested on what he taught. His grading is unfair, he doesn't scale, and its near impossible to get an A. (Biodiversity)

Dr. Kingston's class is absolutely terrible. He is incredibly scatterbrained and talks very quickly. The class itself has a large curriculum, but the class moved way too fast. We also got out late every single class period.

Kingston is a great teacher. he knows the material can be boring but really tries to explain it well and make it interesting. more than willing to help and really cares about his students. his tests are quite challenging but if you study you'll do fine

He was new to teaching the Intro Seminar and didn't really know what he was doing half of the time, but he really tried to help us out. The class was pretty laid back and easy. We mostly used our books for reference for writing papers. The papers a little tough if you've never done it before, but not all that bad.

I only had him for lab, but Dr. Kingston is absolutely HILARIOUS. He had the whole class laughing every week, and definitely made the 3 hour lab not too painful. If you finish early, he will let you leave!

As a senior, Dr Kingston is the best professor I've had at Elon. Very passionate about what he teaches, extremely helpful, willing to spend time and help students, besides his terrible handwriting which he'll decode for you if needed, very clear on grading. Hard class, but you'll enjoy it and get a lot out of it.

All time favorite prof at Elon. Take notes, he goes by them 90% of the time when it comes to tests. He does not play favorites, and always pushes each student just as hard as the other. Tough to get to know at times, but has a great heart, and listens extremely well. A+ teacher, I visit him when I come back to Elon... '00 grad.

this was a tough course but it is really helpful to attend all of the reviews and go to cultural science events and do a write up for extra credit on exams.study like it's your job because technically it is.tests are curved at the end to achieve a similar average to past years so you may end up half a letter grade higher than you expect. good luck.

Very unorganized and scatterbrained. Does not go over material thoroughly and in some cases does display adequate knowledge of subject matter. Very hard tester, in fact when the class average is too high he intentionally gives tests that are harder and on material that he does not cover well.

If you have to take biology courses Kingston is the way to go. It is a challenging course, but I can guarantee that you will walk away knowing a TON about the subject.
