Many find him a little boring, but if you pay attention you can learn a lot from this man. He does not write things down, but as someone who began school elsewhere than NL, I am used to professors only talking, not writing. Knows everything about Shakespeare; if you want to learn, go to class. He is helpful one-on-one, and understanding.

This prof is older than God. Knows a lot about historical drama because he was there when it was written. False teeth and a fake accent make for an incomprehensible teacher. Nice guy though. :)

Rambles way too much about things that don't relate. Does not write a thing down. Very unorganized.

This guy is pretty out to lunch, however he is reasonable. Quite sarcastic. Focuses on poetry and Shakespeare and knows his material.

He's an okay prof. I wouldn't recommend him to 1st years due to his lack of organization, the entire semister he did not write one thing on the board and twice he gave me the wrong assignment sheet once from 4 years back and then from another course. He was also all over the place when he taught.Very nice man, easy to talk to, but not the best prof

This prof is a decent marker. He seems to give points for effort. Thinks his answer is the only right answer, and expects the class to telepathically know what it is. Test questions can be completely different from what we covered in class, though usually not too hard. Will extend deadlines, but hard to get a hold of.

I couldn't stand this prof. He seems to have singlehandedly dissolved my interest in Shakespeare. He's knowledgeable but rambles constantly and goes on meaningless tangents from the material that never seem to end. He does nothing to keep you interested. Seemed pretty easygoing and an easy marker, I just couldn't stand him personally.

Dr. Ayers is halarious. Very easy going and marks pretty easy. He doesn't mind telling you you're wrong, but he's not rude about it like alot of profs. Great with deadlines and extensions also, and his exams were very fair. For a 4000 level course the workload he gave was very light - great course!

He seems to know everything there is about Shakespeare and theater, or at least thinks he does, this is good and bad. Good cause his lectures are very in depth, bad cause when he asks a question he only wants 'his' answer and sense students can't read minds it can be very frustrating. He's also very hard and picky when it comes to grading things.

I think he has multiple personalities. My dad died at the end of the semester and he seemed totally sympathetic and told me not to worry about the final paper...not that i was looking for a way out but he offered...then changed his mind and gave me 2 days to do it...totally weird. but i got an A. still...very weird experience being in his class.

This prof is so boring! But, if you skip some classes it doesn't matter b/c he's so slow! Plus, he takes forever to return papers. The plus side of that? He's flexible with deadlines.

a very easy english class, because he makes it that way. He is a great prof. He knows what he is talking about. Can be boring at times, and he has a tendency to drag out the plays, but good prof none the less. Takes forever to get stuff back though.

I think this guy is amazing! He knows his stuff and if you don't he isn't shy in saying so. The only annoying thing is if he asks the class a question he will NOT continue unless someone answers!!!And he makes you listen because you never know what he's going to say! A very interesting prof for a first year course... to say the least!

I don't like this guy. He insults his students and sees nothing wrong with doing so. Thinks he is a theater God, just get off your high horse dude and teach the course properly. He is a fair marker though, his essay questions are fair and you do learn a bit in his class,I will give him that much

He's a very small man who'll often make his students feel like crap in class if they answer one of his questions wrong. For that reason he has no place in a class room. I can see why some students like him, but God help you if you are the type who likes to speek up in class.
