Dr. Knight, you will be missed. You built the UCO Psych Dept., and it is great because of you. You had the most significant impact of any professor I have ever met. In short, you taught me how to think scientifically, thus powerfully. Your command and teaching of statistics enabled many students to sample life. Your legacy quantifies quality.

Dr. Knight is not as intimidating as people make him seem. He's actually a pretty nice guy! If you're taking adv stats, that's a junior level course. That means that you NEED to be able to start learning things ON YOUR OWN. And that's exactly what he expects. READ HIS BOOK! Get a tutor if you need extra help. (Suggestion: the other stats prof!!)

This professor was very hard but what made him so hard is that he makes you figure it out by yourself and with out his help. If you are good with statistics take him, but if you have difficulty with it do not take him. I barely passed.

Dr. Knight is hilarious and very informative. I thought the class was great. It is however alot of work. There is a chapter quiz every week and you have a 15-20 page paper to do. You must keep up on the reading and take excellent notes to do well. The quizzes are mostly short answer so be prepared.

I took him for Ints: Evolution of Human Sex Behavior and I loved the class! It was very easy and interesting. I would definitely recommend him and the class. You wont regret it..

Dr. Knight is a brilliant man, but should not be allowed to teach. Just because a person has vast knowledge does not mean that they are capable of teaching it to someone else, and this certainly applies to Dr. Knight. If you have problems comprehending statistics, take another professor, because you will be teaching yourself in his class.

It's funny how the man is so particular about validity and reliability in reasoning with life. But his quizzes are anything but. TA's reflect his arrogance, which makes sense. People have been saying its either love or hate. hate! Well i have definetly witnessed at least decent lecturing, but the book has taught me more than he could ever clarify.

Dr.Knight usually has very interesting lectures and you can tell that psychology is his life. I thought Theories of Learning was a great class. There wasn't alot of class discussion but it was still very interesting.

Firstly, psych is a competative sport. Students (grad or und) should be preped 2 discuss the topic n class, 2 clarify + enhance what u read; rather than flounder bet the book + notes later. Also "tickets" reinforce learn + r a ref guide. The wrd lim on the sums is a favor- abstracts r a breeze. Brilliant + preps u for a PhD if u wake up! Godsend!

If you don't get a 100 on your work, you must keep turning it in until you do. This means that you are ALWAYS busy doing work for this class.I didnt understand a lot of the problems but I was still able to get through the class OK.He is not very good at explaining things, so if you really want to LEARN the material, I suggest a different professor.

Dr. Knight is arrogant and intimidating. He has no personality and is not friendly. He is an intelligent man but not very personable. I would not recommend taking him. The classes are boring and difficult. He is not willing to help you outside of class so be prepared to study and stuggle with it alone.

Extremely hard! Pay attention to his lectures even if it seems off topic! The work load will give you an idea of what it will be like in grad school! Read the supplemental book on research papers before going to class and you will realize that he uses them in his lectures.

I had Dr. Knight every semester & he was my advisor and chair of my thesis committee. What I can tell you is you will either LOVE him or HATE him. I myself LOVED him, I learned so much from the man. Unless you are devoted to the field and to studying your butt off, do NOT take him, he won't waste his time or energy on you.

Dr. Knight is an institution of knowledge. One must have the courage to enter "his" building, but you will get double what you put into it. Psych majors should not fear him (nor want to change him), but submit to his method. The experience of any class he teaches is well worth the energy required. You will be a better person!

i took him for learning and it was an experience. sure the tests were a little difficult, however if you apply yourself, you WILL succeed. he's a cool guy but that chairperson thing is somewhat intimidating. and am i one of the few that enjoyed some of his stories?

He is a brilliant man who honestly can not comprehend how anyone could not understand stats as well as he does. He doesn't explain the material, then gives 4 hours of homework that nobody can get right. When EVERYONE failed the exam, he offered to slit his wrists. He is a great lecturer, but a horrible teacher!
