Hes a very nice guy but doesn't really teach well. Im receiving a B in the class, but its mainly because of attendance and homework scores. He's always available but moves too quickly through chapters and doesn't teach efficiently.

i am not yet through with this coarse but i can say i have already learned SO much more than what i did in math 126c. I had seth cole and failed. i am now re-taking it and Mays is SO nice. He tries hard to help you understand. He does take attendance, but it will help your grade. I would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent teacher. I hated trig in high school and I got a D in it, but I ended up getting a B in college, he really knows how to teach. He posts practice tests on his website, as well as video's and narrated slides in case you miss a class or want a review before the test.

very good teacher. like everyone says he is boring in class. that's why i never went. never had trig before, never went to class and still got a B in the class. he takes attendance so if you don't go to class know someone that does and have them sign you in.

His tests are easy which is a plus... He made the stuff I learned in high school seem really complicated when he explained it. I would recomend doing the HW before class, the tests/material will be really easy then. He doesn't try to trick you on tests.

Excellent personality for a math professor. He's totally a math geek, and occasionally makes funny jokes about the material. However, he sometimes makes the easiest things sound really hard. But for the most part - he's a good teacher.
