I really enjoyed taking Robinson's class. He is a great professor and really knows what he talking about. You don't have to go to class, but I think it is definitely helpful. He goes pretty quickly in class, but he puts the powerpoints online so it isn't really a problem that he goes fast. He is open to questions and is helpful if you seek him out.

Prof. doesn't explain things clearly. He skips steps in class (probably assumes that students know how to solve the skipped steps), and occasionally rushes through the concepts. Often times, he doesn't reply to emails, so he is neither very prompt, nor predictable about office hours. He doesn't seem to care if the students get the topics or not.

His course is not helpful at all. He has the most unclear instruction about papers and exams. I don't even know what he is talking about in class. I feel like he never takes his job seriously or show any responsibility as a college professor. I will never ever take his class again.

Mike is such a chill professor, and I learned a lot from this class. He doesn't care if you go to class, but unless you've taken econ before you really should go to class. He talks fast, but the powerpoints are all online and its really helpful to follow along. Overall it's a great class!

I really enjoyed Robinson as a professor. After taking his introductory economics course, I feel much more interested in economics - even possibly pursuing it more in the future. The only bad thing I have to say about him is the grammar on his tests at times can be confusing, and we only have like three tests to determine our overall grade.

I'm not sure where I should start.... Robinson is funny, at least he tries. Unfortunately, he really doesn't care much about his class or the students. AVOID HIM. He gives moderately useful advice as an adviser though.

Is intense/energetic/smart; has high expectations-sometimes he makes assumptions about students' prior knowledge of the subject, but if you call him out on it, he takes & gives criticism/suggestions very well. Good sense of humor. Doesn't take things personally; expects same attitude from students. Teaches best via discussion, debate, and analysis

Mike is awesome. He is very enthusiastic and fun, and likes to joke around. He may be easy going, but takes no BS when it comes to grading. This class was what got me to decide to declare as an econ major. The cases are very interesting, thought provoking, and helpful in providing an avenue for applying theory.

He's great to talk to but he grades really tough on exams. You think, "oh what a cool guy" at first but then you realize that he's just fake. He has high expectations but I am not sure ever what those expectations are. The cases are pretty easy and fun but the exams are a nightmare.

Professor Robinson seems like a nice enough guy, but I have NO Idea what is going on in class this semester. He's not very clear and overall I'm not sure how much I got out of the class besides aggravation.

Mike is awesome!I took micro with him this semester at 8 in the morning and his energy and enthusiasm really keeps you intrested in what you're learning. The case studies that are required take up some time but they really help you apply what you learn

He uses a lot of case studies for Intro Micro, which is really helpful for connecting what you're learning with the real world. He can go a bit fast and isn't really concise, but if you can figure out what he's getting at, then you'll do well. He's also super-friendly and likes to joke around, so talk and you'll enjoy the class so much more!

A really funny guy and very approachable. He loves to engage students in class and use real-world examples to get conversations going. You will find yourself in debates often, which keeps you interested in the subject. When he just lectures, it can get a bit dry, but the readings are interesting, and he is a fair grader. Take Micro with him!

Doesn't teach anything, I (along with many others in my class) learned more from just cramming the book into my head than listening to him "teach." He's also very condescending and unapproachable. Even the other Micro teachers say they're better than him (his class).

i have to say that it will be a waste of your time to take a class with Prof Robinson. He is very disorganized and unclear. His lectures are extremely boring and useless, you basically do not learn anything from him. He starts his lecture about econ, but soon lose track and goes on and on without noticing.

I need to say that he is not a good professor at all. Being nice is not enough. Giving out Harvard cases to us who barely started economics on the second semester of college is totally USELESS! His tests are pretty easy but never expect to learn something REAL to prepare for your further ECON learning. TRY YOUR BEST TO AVOID HIM!
