Had her for intro to creative writing. Awesome prof, engaging, had fun in-class activities. She pushed all students to become better writers but was understanding and fair towards different levels of talent. Def take her if you can, one of my favs at Pitt.

I am an international student and take her Intro. to Literature class. It was a morning class and I'd never fallen asleep during her class. She is very nice and helpful. The essay was not too hard if you know what she will be looking for in the paper. Even though I am an international student, I can easily get an A from the essay.

Nice lady. Must adjust your writing style to fit hers. A LOT OF READING, but I only skimmed the books and I was able to write the essays just fine. Switched up teaching methods to keep class interesting.

A w-course. Class was once a week, attendance mandatory. A three page essay due every 2 weeks. Revisions at the end of the semester. Most of the poems we read were written in the past decade or so. Let me tell you, I absolutely SUCK at writing but Micki was very helpful and lenient in her grading. Plus, she immediately responded to e-mails.

What planet are you guys from? This professor is honestly the worst teacher I've had at the University of Pittsburgh yet. She is very unprofessional in how she conducts the course. You WILL fall asleep in her class. Lastly, her opinion on the material is the only opinion(she thinks she knows it all)

Micki is awesome -- definitely take her for a good W course. I had her at night and actually stayed awake. She is big on small group work though so you might want to take it with a friend.

Micki is the best english teacher I have ever had. The poems we read are very interesting, and she is very fair in grading. If you like poems or not, take this class...Micki will make you like poems and you will earn an A in the process.

I had the once-a-week flavor of this class, one short paper every week on different poems. Myers is a good professor, and the readings are decent.

Topics for papers are usually atypical, but tedious. Flexible with deadlines.
