Comment:

Wang is an alright teacher. He teaches the material pretty well so long as you go to all of his classes. Only problem is that tests count for 90% of your grade and aren't weighted, so you wont be getting any extra points. Quizzes can be challenging but they are take home and you have a good amount of time to do them. Can get points back on tests.

Comment:

Dr. Wang is one of the best math professors at SUNY Orange. His sense of humor is paralleled only by his ability to teach. There are no surprises in his exams, and he gives a 5 extra credit point bonus question per exam. If you want to learn while also not having to stress too terribly much, he is your man.

Funny and sweet professor. Contains somewhat of a heavy accent, but you get used to it over time. Teaches everything thoroughly and thoughtfully. "My way or no way!", so make sure you do it his way. Assignments are super easy, use in class notes as references. The tests are very similar to practice exams we go over in class. 100% would recommend.

He had a sweet sense of humor in class, was very approachable, and could explain things very simply or go into depth if you needed/ wanted him to. He came across as extremely knowledgeable and confident in the subject matter, but was very down-to-earth when teaching. He has an accent, but I had not trouble understanding him. I highly recommend him.

Ive struggled with math for years and he helped me understand it a bit more. Doesn't expect any participation as long as you show up. He gives homework every week but you have a few days to do it and before the test he gives study guides that are exactly like the test.

I would encourage someone who has had a hard time with math in high school to take this course. Professor Wang is straightforward and kind. Follow all his instruction for a good grade (he even lets you know this, he says, "my way and you will be good"). I honestly would have gotten an A if I hadn't let my terrible English professor stress me out.

I loved Professor Wang's class and I have always been bad at math. Once you get used to his accent, its easy to understand him and he explains everything in detail. He gave us our homework in a packet so we had the chance to get ahead. He is funny and takes time explaining each example.

Amazing Professor. Fair Grader. Has a HEAVY accent, but makes up for it by his style of teaching. I wish he taught more classes, I would love to have him again. Highly Recommended. Math Lab is your friend.

The thing with Wang is he's a genius. This means he explains things horribly. He gives examples but doesn't explain exactly what you're doing first. He also took two points off because I forgot a negative. It makes you keep and eye out more when you check it over but he does not give you a break. Some people love him and some don't. Calc 2 is hard

I love professor Wang! There are a lot of notes, but he is very clear about what he wants. As long as you show up to class, takes notes, do the homework, and the practice exams then there is no way to fail the tests. I would most definitely recommend him to anybody bad or good at math. He made it very easy to learn.

Wang was by far one of the best math professors or teachers that I've ever had. I always struggled with math, but he made it so clear and easy. He's willing to help you if you don't understand and his tests are exactly like the study guide he gives out for you to do and goes over in class.

I have never been great at math but Professor Wang made everything SO clear to me. He writes extremely clear notes, explains every step, there to help you whenever you ask, grades fairly, makes you laugh during class, doesn't go off topic.. I'm still no good at math but it's the first time I've passed a math course. Amazing. I recommend him.

Dr. Wang is very nice and his class lectures are easy to sit through. He can be a stiff grader at times and moves through material at a pretty quick pace. To do well in his class you either need to be good at Math or stay on top of what he's teaching. Still, he's a good professor and I would recommend him for students. Also, Math lab is your friend

Although I may have gotten a low grade I think it's only due to my interest in Maths in general and my lack of practicing. However, this teacher is a great teacher very easy and breaks down everything that you need to know. He tells you why and how.

I'll admit, when he walked in the door and started talking I was nervous. Boy, was I nervous for nothing. His teaching is crystal clear, he writes EVERY step on the board, and he's pretty darn funny. If you copy everything he writes, you're golden. Quizzes are all take-home and the tests are clear-cut and not long. He's awesome.
