She is a great professor and is a credit to the UMKC staff. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to take a poli-sci class. You can learn a lot if you are willing to listen. Attend class and pay attention, it will pay off. Dr. Lyne is good at what she teaches.

Interesting for people that like the subject and like to discuss it. Easy grader but quizes and tests in essay format. She posts her notes on blackboard but they are a little confiusing sometimes so you should go to class and pay attention.

The class is really boring, all you do is repeat what you 'read' the night before. The professor is really closed minded, and will not listen to anything that she doesn't agree with. If you study her notes its an easy A though.

this class is incredibly boring. each test comes from the notes on blackboard. tests are two terms to know, essay style. let me repeat, class is boring. the movies suck and she really doesn't help you out very much. do not take this class!

Easy class- class avg was an 88. Take notes- hers on BB don't cover it all. Not much study required. Participate in class and don't go against her and you should have an A. Course focuses on the history of LA. Knowledge of dates not required. She gives ~10 terms and picks two for quizzes- class is pretty straightforward.

Knowledgable about subject. Expects class discussion (which is a decent chunk of the grade) everyday and her online notes suck, so doing the reading is highly recommended. Gets pissy if no one participates in class. Tests are all short answer and essay, which she grades fairly easily. Basically all reading and lecture. Pretty easy A/B.

So-so professor. Class is pretty boring. Tries to help out students who don't understand the material, but she does not seem to be very interested in the subject she teaches. That's a big turn-off. Also, she sleeps during films shown in class.

She is not a great professor. She gives tests and quizes that are all short answer and essays. If you don't do the reading she gets very angry and will cancel class if noone participates. Her fingers are really weird and distracting. If you can escape her, DO IT!

Not the most intersting class, but not too hard. Her notes are on blackboard and thats where all her test and qiuz questions come from. YOu don't have to read, but lately shes been doing descussions instead of notes which sucks. Make sure it appears like you know whats going on
