Oh dear, every one of her lectures and videos made me drowsy. Her notes are somewhat helpful, but the text is the main source of info. She understands history can be dry, and will not call you out for looking sleepy, but just don't fall asleep. Couple of 2 page papers, one 5 page paper, midterm and final with short essays. Easy fill in quizzes.

She is the sweetest lady! Sometimes her lectures are a bit boring but she always says a random thought or joke that's pretty funny. Her quizzes are pretty simple, the tests are okay and essays are short! I've always hated history and this one was one of my favorite classes. She bought us Hostess donuts products before they disappeared...love her!

She was definitely a great teacher. She is a very sweet person and she makes class interesting with jokes that get us all laughing. I may not be a history buff but I actually enjoyed this class because of her. The material can be challenging at times but she certainly made it worth our time.

Everyone makes her out to be this really mean woman, this is not the case. If you bs her she will sniff it out and tear you apart but if you do your work and follow her to the T it wont be that bad. Just make sure you come prepared early on or she'll just think your a slacker and you wont be able to make it up.

Took her for the thesis prep class and she wasn't too bad. If your taking HIS 411, have your thesis topic and question already planned before you walk in because she LOVES to see prepared and ambitious students. Do that your fine, the assignments aren't hard but you need to keep up on your work. She seems scary because she's the chair but is nice

She expects a lot from her students but shes a great teacher. I took her for History of Ireland and loved it. As long as you come to class and pay attention you will do well. She gives you a study sheet for the mid term and final and she always goes over any questions you may have. The term paper was difficult but I highly recommend taking her.

Taking her now for Methodology. Was scared at first because of what I'd heard, but she's awesome! She's really nice and smart, and funny too. She gave me great advice for researching my thesis. Just do what she says and do it on time, and not only will you be set for the class, you'll be set for your thesis, too. She structures the class well.

I took her for History of Ireland. The class really wasn't that hard. Just be there and take notes. She repeats questions on quizzes, so that gives you an edge. Plus she tells you everything that is going to be on the midterm and final! She's always willing to help you, too. I'm not a History major, and I liked it.

I had Brennan for Methodology and had to write my Thesis with her. I was scared of her at first, but she is one of the best professors I've had. As long as you put in the effort and do what she expects of you, she will go out of her way to help. She even cut articles out of the times for me that she thought I could use on my thesis.Great professor!

Professor Brennan is a tough grader. If you aren't a history major I would advise not taking her class. She favors students, and if you are shy and don't speak up or history isn't quite for you, she will grade you differently. I would never take her again.

she is a genius...she's not the most social and bubbly person, but she is always willing to help and her classes are really interesting...her tests are easy too, as long as you study. my one negative comment is that she sometimes wears geese pants...but that's it. she's a great professor and we're lucky to have her here at st. joe's

Dr. Brennan is very nice and she is a decent teacher. She always seems a little bit busy to answer lots of questions, but she does have a lot of work to do. You have to take her for methods, so do all your work and you'll be fine.
