I have had this professor twice before. By far one of the worst professors I have ever had. Her condescending attitude makes you not want to be in her class at all. She does not teach a single thing and talks about the most irrelevant things. She always thinks she is right no matter what. If at all possible do not take any of her classes.

I was not interested in the topic of PA Colonial German Society at all before taking this class. Her lectures were very interesting and insightful. Some of the work was difficult, but hey it's college and a 400 level class. I would take another class with her.

Very sarcastic and rude. She cursed in class and was unprofessional. Four exams decide your grade and the first exam class average was a 65. The lecture isn't awful but you have to read the entire textbook for exams. If you're taking a GenEd, look into a different class.

The class was mandatory and so was her attendance, the good art is she canceled class at least once a week and sometimes twice. She seemed very disorganized and almost made me lose interest in History altogether. She is very bitter about history as a career and does a lot of complaining about it.

I loved her class! She made my 3 hour class my favorite. She gives us a break, and if you take good notes, pay attention, and participate, you can actually get something out of the class. Listen carefully for her jokes! Speise is definitely the person I'd recommend taking history with if you don't like history.

This was a freaking awesome class....she makes the 3 hour long class bearable, and sometimes fun...she gives you the essay/terms for exams ahead of time so you can study..and if you show up, take notes, and participate, it's hard not to get a good grade!

I have had this prof for a couple of classes and she is the best. She is very approachable and always glad to help you with any problems you may have. Her classes are fun and she has a great way to looking at things in a broader context that really makes you think. One of the nicest people in the world.
