This was the first prof I had on my first day of university. He basically made everyone want to cry because he told us how hard the program was and how only 20% of the frosh in his class pass. However true this might be, he WANTS you to fail, he doesnt want to help you maybe overcome the difficulty of the course. Jerk

we had to read four reserve readings, written by himself, about how we were destined for failure, at the hands of 'psychological devils,' in one of his theologically satirical pieces. he's a neat guy if you could just widen your notions of what makes someone great. 'the rescorla-wagner model..meh..'

took his class first year in 1989 - he was nicknamed 'Rottin'-Mottin'. things don't seem to have changed. he was pretentious, cocky, enamored with his own voice and made our lives a living hell. thought many times of dropping out of the psych program because of him.
