one of the worst proffs i've ever had. clearly doesn't care about the students..she will humiliate those she doesn't like. Never makes extra time to help, and when she does she makes it seem like such a burden. must attend class for exams! very tough marker on exams and paper. i suggest you go to class and write all her examples down!

Completely boring useless class. She embarasses the students she doesn't like and grovels at the feet of the ones she adores. Don't try asking her for help because she won't help you. Has a huge chip on her shoulder, better be careful or it might eat you!

Great prof.Takes time out of her day to come in for office hours works with you lots. need to attend classes though or you will miss notes and hints on test. test easy. essay 10-12 pages. marks hard. but if you put effort in you will get good marks. Great teacher. Would take another class with her!

One word to describe: CRAZY! Even her hair looks crazy. She's good at teaching, but isn't the nicest person outside her class. Has obvious favorites. Way too many readings, but tests aren't very hard. Pretty harsh when marking papers, doesn't explain why marks were lost. Have to attend class, no notes on the internet. Final partially cumulative.

She made a possibly interesting class quite boring. Unless you were passionate about the topic she was lecturing on, it was pretty boring listening to her ramble on with her feminist comments put in everywhere. Found that she marked quite hard on the short-answer questions. Didn't like the way she treated the students like children.

This was a qualatative research class. I loved the class, Muriel does expect a lot of work but I did learn lots. I at least feel if I went out to do research that I am capable of actually doing the research, knowing how to set it up, what to expect from my results and even how to interpret my research. Thank-you, thank-you. Learned lots

meh...she made class interesting and fun, but the class is work, so be prepared for that. it also seemed like the first mark you got was about where you would stay for the semester..and she would pin you for things that weren't even brought up before doing the assignments. be prepared to work hard - but it is a 3rd year methods course...

I found the class to be super easy. I never used the text and just studied from her notes and got an A. Never went for help so dont know how she is one on one. I do have to say MOODY and strange. I didnt like her attitude but would take a class from her again. She gave a VERY detailed study guide and if you knew the material it was easy!

she talks too much about feminism. CLASS IS SOO BORING!!! im not taking sociology again.. if u like scioilogy dont take it from here she will make u hate it. She thinks that what she thinks is right and your ideas can not be right.. Tests are average but she is a hard marker!! and takes forever to hand them back! what can i say ididntlike her class

Classes were poorly organized, somtimes boardering caos. She displays one line on the overhead, and then babbles on and on about it for a half hour. Instead of teaching about feminism, she pushed her offensive, outwordly feminist attitude upon all students. Muriel gives easy tests, but marks with a vengence. Her microphone skills hurt my ears.

Gives too way much reading for a 2000 level class. She does not give enough time for her exams.She expects about 6-7pages of writing with only 70min to do it. Her exams are all long answer, and she is very very specific and picky about her marking. I did pretty good in her class, but overall I would NOT recommend taking this class.
