Nice man, very enthusiastic about maths- quite the nerd. VERY hard class if you don't have a maths background. You basically teach yourself and he just goes over examples in class. Difficulty clarifying problems, will just explain it the EXACT same way. He write EVERYTHING down on the board so class is slow and tedious.

He always says many people will fail(good motivation). He's full of himslelf. He doesn't explain the word problems properly so everyone screws em on the exam. He gives lots of homework (something like 8 pages) twice a week. His exams are so hard and when you ask him for help, he spends about 10 mins to tell you why he doesn't have time to explain.

Math courses require a lot of homework, so this course is not an easy course. BUT! Mr. Besler will make math funny and interesting and most of all... easier to understand! His lectures are very clear. He is really willing to help students, talk to him! It took me a while to catch onto his sense of humour, but he is hilarious!!! Awesome class.

Mr. Besler's lectures are organized, clear and easy to follow. He has a wicked sense of humour- he cracked me up every single class. His tests are difficult and having strong algebra skills are a must. His writing is PERFECT- if you value neat notes, you'll love his class.

he's the best math teacher!!! he clarifies everything and very organized. He gives lots of examples to help you do the hw. Although he is a lil bit monotoned, i got used to his voice. Expect to work hard outside class time since his test will be harder than average. He always says BYOB - Bring Your Own Brackets.

Great math teacher! soo entertaining is his own little way, seems to have a genuine love for algrebra! but his test are really hard and he gives ALOT of homework!!! but you still love him.I am horrible at math and this is the first math class i didnt hate, even though i got a crappy mark, but it was my own fault!

Impeccable notes, beautiful handwriting, very understanding, extremely helpful, excellent taste in clothes. I'll simply sum it up as follows: academically and overall one of the best teachers I have and will ever come across. He appreciates hard work and honesty so, to learn and score in his class, be prepared to do just that. Highly recommended.

He is a very nice guy, friendly, kind, and knowledgable. He explains questions and examples step by step and thoroughly. He doesn't give lots of HW, but his tests are little hard than average, study notes well! If you have a strong highschool math background, 1150 will be piece of cake, do the HW don't miss any tests and quiz day, get a A is easy.

Best Math teacher I've ever had, hands down. He's very detail oriented, but if you go to class and take notes, you'll be aware of all the pickly little things he's looking for. Don't forget to use proper notation, you'll lose marks if you don't!

He is held in very high regard by his students, for good reason. His lectures are excellent and his tests are hard. Hard. He expects a high level of excellency and effort from you if you expect a good grade in return. If you want grades, take someone else. If you want a great understanding of mathematical concepts, Besler is your man.

I'd rather get a C in Murray's class than a B+ in someone else's. He's (frighteningly) thorough, and if you pay attention you'll get a great grounding in math that will make your next math courses way easier. Expect to work hard and long, but you'll definitely get your tuition money's worth.
