Make sure you draw your graphs perfect. Study hard, use his practice questions. Beware of surprise quizzes. Bring ruler and colour pencils to exam/tests so your graphs look perfect. Tests are all about key points in the chapter. Exam covers key points as well. If you study the key points and draw graphs correctly you will pass .

Gives unannounced quizzes throughout the whole semester. Quizzes and Tests aren't particularly hard but I suggest going over practice assignments on Acorn to help prepare. Class was not easy but I would not say it was difficult. VanBlarcom is very good at explaining concepts. Overall great Prof

Great Professor, highly recommend taking his class! He is very clear on what he expects and what will be on the tests. There are pop quizzes but as long as you go to class and listen you'll easily make 100% on the quizzes. Classes are interesting and not boring and text book hardly even seemed necessary because he did such a good job.

I had VB for 4 courses and I'm impressed by his teaching ability and intelligence. He has a tricky way of wording questions sometimes but the answers are straightforward once you understand him. I LOVED Econ of Sports and Econ of Tourism but I hated Econ of Banking with a passion, probably just the topic though.

a prof that actually know his stuff - needs to slow down on his explanations though! we're not all geniuses here! clearly has favouritism and is quite brutal in his grading....time consuming course(expect to spend literally all your time on his course compare to your other courses!!)

I have yet to see a professor as efficient as VanB. He knows his stuff. His classes are mildly enteratining, but if you don't attend, you'll do poorly in the course. Go to class...pop quizzes are common, assignments are fair game. Overall.....i'd give him a high A- or even a low A. GREAT PROFESSOR!

Most time consuming class ever! Assignments are soooo long (but not that hard). Tests seem easy, but expects lots of details in your answers. Very helpful in and out of class and explains things in a way that will stick with you forever..but he goes wicked fast in class. Pop quizes are fair.
