Professor Gutin is a gem. Take her and you will not regret it. She's nice, reasonable, fair and approachable. I saw her check attendance every class, so try not to miss too many of them. She appreciates class participation. Had her for nonverbal comm. I would take her again, but that class was an elective.

I've had Dr Gutin for advance speech, nonverbal, and senior seminar. Honestly she's one of the most caring and amazing professors that I've ever had the honor of knowing. When I was inducted into LPE, she ran right up to me at the end. She goes out of her way to see how you are. She makes you want to learn and do well. Take her; you won't regret it

Toughest grader on speeches. She was okay, I would not recommend due to her confusing grading and extremely delayed grading. How could she expect us to improve on speeches when we didn't get our last graded speech back? That is what bothered me the most. Ended the class with an A-. DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK. It is a waste because we never opened it.

I took non-verbal com, into to mass media com & the making of the presidents classes with Dr.G & I wish she taught more classes! Definitely my favorite teacher not bc shes nice & reasonable as a college professor but bc she actually cares about her students & gives great advice. Best advice... Don't bs she can tell & always ask for help!!

Great professor! She's extremely nice, and her lectures are clear. Sometimes her class can get a little boring, but for the most part it's fine. She has review sessions before every test, and you get to drop your lowest test grade, or skip one if you're not ready for it. I definitely recommend her!

She was awful. A lot of the stuff that was taught was useless and uninteresting. If you ask her a question and she doesn't know the anwser she will just make one up. The tests were absurd. she would have you regurgitate minute details instead of testing you on concepts and ideas that were taught. What a mistake this class was.

Gutin is a total expert in her field. She's totally worth taking. The material is, mostly, pretty exciting, and she tries to make it somewhat fun. Her tests can be difficult if you don't study, but she gives a lot of extra credit for things. She's ALWAYS willing to help you out. DEFINITELY take this woman. You won't regret it.

great professor. helps you out if you are unsure of a topic or are nervous about speaking in public. Easy to get a good grade if you follow the exact instructions for the speeches and you study a tiny bit for the quizzes. otherwise she gives extra credit which can boost you from a C to a C+. Take her.
