She was the best prof that I have had so far you can clearly tell that she wants her students to success she made the content so much simpler and easier to understand wish she taught more upper year psych courses. Easy A if you pay attention in lectures and read the textbook test not difficult at all.

Nice prof. Rambles a lot during lectures.. Lectures are the exact same as what's written on the slides but fills in extra 2 hours with pointless rambling not related to the material. Overall really funny (if you can manage to actually pay attention). Gets participation grades from iClickers but usually rambles & runs out of time for clicker Qs

ok prof but she gets sidetracked a lot during lectures. attendance isn't mandatory bc she records lectures and puts them on moodle, but you do have to sign in on reef for participation marks which will give up to 5% bonus. lectures may not be mandatory, but definitely keep up with reading because if you fall behind there's a lot of catchup work

Mongrain is caring and makes everything too easy, which is why taking her class feels redundant and like a waste of money. Even if you never show up to class and just study the textbook and slides on Moodle you can get an A+. She dumbs things down too much, and sometimes her own concepts are not clear. I learned more in high school, honestly.

Awesome prof and funny too. Her lectures were boring and not mandatory, only for participation marks and her grading scheme is very generous. 2 attempts for each midterm (3 midterms) and best one is chosen. If you read everything from the textbook and have a good understanding of it, it is an easy A. Also memorize her slides for the short answers!

Prof. Mongrain is a great professor and her lectures are interesting. She doesnt rush through her slides and she speaks slowly so you can get all the concepts. It is easy to get a good grade in her class if you read the textbook AND go to her lecture.

prof mongrain's lectures were the worst. it was always dark in the room + she spoke slowly so it was hard to focus. more specifically, it wasnt ever necessary to go to class. not only are lectures recorded but she never says anything thats worth writing down (if you read the text, dont go to class). she just read off powerpoints. easy A if you read

Prof. Mongrain is an average professor. She makes class easy, and speaks unintelligently and slowly. Good for students who are below-average intellect; she is underwhelming. If you really have an interest in psychology, want to enjoy class, test your intellect and skills, challenge your language ability, DO NOT sign up for her.

She is awesome! Very eloquent and her lectures are very interesting. You just have to do your readings for tests and final exam and she is very generous and reasonable when it comes to grading. You have two attempts for her tests and the best mark counts. You should definitely consider taking her course, even if you're not a psyc major.

she is probably the worst lecturer I've ever had. she is SO boring, and thats coming from a person who is extremely interested in psychology. dont need to go to class bc she records the lectures but honestly who'll listen to them on their own time. lets you write the midterms twice and takes the better mc and better short answer. must read the text

Funny, caring, super informal (she blasts music before lecture), generally just a good prof. She gave us two tries on each exam and only counted the best grade... who else does that? Tests are simple, just study the text. The only thing is that she made lecture kinda boring (and it was 3h). But in every other way, she excels.

Great professor. Amazing lectures. No complaints. Funny, caring, and understanding. If you have a chance to take a course with her, do it. For PSYC 1010, read the end of chapter quizzes. Tests are simple if you study.
