The assignments are very easy, and she does not grade them harshly. She is a very enthusiastic prof, you can tell she loves her job. Has good examples and always willing to help. She is super strict on being late and locks the door when class begins. Also strict on no cell use. Overall pretty easy class.

I loved Myrna! Super helpful! She wasn't even my adviser but ended up helping me schedule my classes so I could graduate, as my adviser was sub par. Not only is she a nice lady, she genuinely cares about her students, and is passionate about her work.

Out of the classes I took last semester, this was one of the best. One of the most helpful, understanding, and fair teachers in the comm department. The course forced students to step outside of their comfort bubbles, and provided important tips for conflict resolution. Very helpful.

Comment:

She was one of my least memorable teachers. Not easy, not hard, not a great teacher, not a bad one. The course material was relatively unmemorable. Honestly, it wasn't a bad course, but I wouldn't rush out and take it if it wasn't a requirement. Only real negative is that she can be a bit preachy about being politically correct.

This is a very nice professor. However, she repeats herself way too much. Sometimes she will give the same notes 3 classes in a row. Other then that she is a pretty awesome professor and I would recommend taking more of her classes. I know I will!!

This class was a real pain in the butt. Constantly doing weekly open book tests, pop quizzes, in-class PRS clicker questions, homeworks, and other tests and exams. You do way too much for an introductory class, but if you struggle through it all you can walk away with an A and wonder how you pulled it off...like I did.

Myrna is so nice! This class would be perfect to take online, though. She explains everything and makes it possible to give you points if your not good at taking tests. Go to class though, she gives bonus on attendance!

Her class is pure powerpoints, but there is no real need to take notes. Every week you take a chapter self test online with open book worth 20 pts. The only reason to go to class is for PRS exercises which are usually very easy and eventually any amount done in one day over 6 become bonus. Make sure to do the homeworks which are worth 40pts each.A+
