Extremely nice and easy professor. Class can be a bit boring as she teaches directly off the Powerpoints. Attendance not mandatory if you just use her slides and keep up with the book. Tests are straightforward.

Comment:

Dr. Makundan teahes directly from the book, and she uses a power point slide. Her tests are really not that bad, she only put something on a test that we had never learned before once, and it had to do with algebraic intuition. Overall, she's a good teacher and it's easy to learn if you pay attention in lecture and take notes!

Sadly enough, she's really boring. Chem lectures are useless anyway. She just makes them even more trivial and mundane. Tests are okay, but they're short so if you mess up on a mult. choice question, you lose major points. 8:45 chem with her is way too hard to stay awake in.

It's true that her lectures are straight from the book and nearly useless, but she takes feedback from students on the difficulty of tests and quizzes. Class is pretty easy if you have a good AP/IB chem bckgrnd.

she acts like a kindergarten teacher and if you ask her a simple question will just tell you that 'It is not her area of experise' and do nothing. her lectures are completely useless, she just copies stuff out of the book on powerpoint then posts it on the web. i never even saw her all semester.

Seems to be underrated here--I did not find the class difficult or Mukundan to be "tricky" (and I had not taken AP chemistry entering). Lectures were organized and clearly presented, if somewhat unentertaining.
