Comment:

Shes a decent lady but she clearly picks favorites. The class was boring but I can't imagine a 100 level writing class ever being interesting anyway. There was an average amount of homework but none of it was hard. No tests, and only 3 papers. Not a bad class...but I would suggest taking it in 50 minute intervals.

had her for 100, was pretty easy, so i took her for 200 -BIG MISTAKE! all of a sudden, 3 papers are due a week and has u read a book over a 2 week span.. all bout group editing but no 1 ever writes ne thing worthwhile 2 help u out... kinda a harsh grader on papers, but usually gives checks 4 notebooks

Did not find instructions to assignments clear at all. Via e-mail she responds with the el-famous "i told you several times already". Not helpful at all. Has good philosophy towards teaching but has done a very poor job in executing it. Crappy grading distribution throughout the semester lead to harsh evaluation on last big assignments.

This class requires a bit of work, but none of it is difficult. She does get off topic a lot, but would you rather talk about something boring? or see pictures from her trip to New Orleans? I didnt always look forward to the class...but it wasnt all that bad.

she is a great teacher who loovvvees to get off topic. She grades diffucultly but she is very nice to listen to. She talks about things that happen in her personal life and ties them to what we are talking about in class. Recommend her. Just do the papers days in advanse, not the night before.

Marter is awsome! She's not an easy A because she actually wants students to out effort into thier work (imagine that!) Her assignments are designed to make you a more knowlegeable student, and think about the issues around you. We need more professors like her! Take her class!

The class itself is pretty easy. Anyone with a standard 12th grade english level can pass it. She is very unclear and gets upset when the whole class has no idea what she's talking about. She picks favorites so raise your hand and don't be a wise guy.
