Great english teacher, kept me awake in morning class! She likes students to participate, lots of discussions in small groups in class. Quizzes are easy if you keep on on the reading. Not an easy marker, she really expects clarity on essays. If you struggle with essays, don't expect an A. If you're an above average writer, take her! She'll love you

She is so easy and helpfull. Just do what she wants and u'll most likey get an A. Write very simple and she'll mark it so easy. Clear in class. Very straight forward. Highly recommended.

Nancy is an amazing teacher. She is really friendly and really helpful. She will make you really like English... even if you didn't like it that much before. She does a good job of preparing you for all of your other college classes... I have used what Nancy taught me about essay writting in every single other class I have taken at Langara.

NANCY IS AMAZING SHE IS SO SMART AND NICE. Nancy Roberts is the best teacher I have had to date, true she is a hard marker, but on the other hand prior to handing in your essay, she will read through it (if you ask her) and she will tell you exactly what to change for an a, thats why I got an a in two of her classes

Nancy teaches with enthusiasm. Her marking standards in essay writing is very high, which is good in order to learn from our mistakes.I didn't successfully pass this course, but I'm glad that she was indeed honest about my writing skills.She gained my respect for being honest.If you think your writing skills is good, then take her. *two thumbs up!*

hard. hard. hard. will fail people. tough in marking writing. but her classes are very entertaining. I learned a lot from her but engl 1127 wrecked my straight A streak with a C on my transcript. you need to put in a lot of time to get good grades in her class!

She is fair in marking. Some say that she is cruel, but I don't think so. She just wants to make her students know what she is looking for. And I'm not native English speaker, and still she was nice to me. I actually thank her for telling me that "Don't worry. You'll improve.^^" She's such a good professor.

she gave chocolates on the first day...yes for free. she's witty, energetic, and understanding of the struggles students face to get their own words on paper. she knows of the difficulty of keeping it simple in your writing as long as you work your frikkin butt off and come to class. she's very open-minded to interpretations no matter how strange.

I love Nancy. She's totally funny, energetic, and engaging. Her class is always active, interesting and full of discussion. Her assignments are fair but you really have to do them in order to do well. Her marking is fair too, lots of constructive criticisms. She's also willing to help and most importantly she really knows her stuff and teaches well
