Comment:

I liked Nava Bobby as a prof for the first half of the course. However, what she expects is crazy. Weekly writings that in my opinion arent helpful, but instead very hard. If youre good at English, shes an excellent prof. However, if you struggle, I wouldnt recommend. But shes available to help a lot during office hours, which is helpful.

Wouldnt recommend this prof. I did 1110 online and it seemed impossible to do well. Its nice you get a chance to revise your work, but I found it was harder to do well the second time. Shes eager to help but overall this course was very frustrating to complete.

Such a sweet and helpful lady! I was a English hating student until I had Prof. Bobby for English 1080. She is very helpful, very quick to respond to emails. She even read my essays for editing before the due date! By the end of the course I had decided to go on and do my electives in English. Enough good things can't be said about Prof Bobby!

She is friendly but overall not a great prof. She does not value creativity nor does she see things from any other point of view other than her own. I took this class because it was a prerequisite but it was a total waste of time.

Had her as my prof for 1080 by distance, though I was frequently at the campus and often stopped by her office to discuss the course material and my progress in the course. She is extremely willing to help and if you put the effort in, she will take you far. She was encouraging & approachable. Would definitely recommend if you are willing to learn.

Not the best prof you will ever have. She is a sweet lady, and is happy to accommodate students needs, but she does not appreciate creativity, and is a very tough grader. One tip for this course, if you don't have a lot of money, all the course material is available online for free, so don't prioritize this text book above other purchases.

She is a nice enough person, but not a very good teacher. I don't recommend entering her class if you need a high mark in the course. If you put in the work, you should manage a pass, but DO NOT expect any higher marks -- she's a very tough marker. She is available to provide extra help on many occasions, but this time is often not used well.

Miss Bobby is a terrible teacher, and an extremely unfair marker. She actually failed me on an assignment for the purpose of keeping me from getting over confident. When I asked her to explain what I had done wrong, to learn from it, she said that my work was A material, but didn't want me to think that I couldn't improve, so she gave 20%.

If you are willing to put in the time and do the extra work prof bobby is there to help. Always avaiable if you need her and truly wants the best for her students. She is very kind and loves what she does. She expects you to do the very best and she knows what she is looking for. Detais are her best friend. Loved her, take her class!

Nava Bobby is a fantastic English prof. She is always willing to help you if you are having trouble and really seems to care about all her students. You can write up an essay and she will have no problem looking over it and helping you fix it up.

She is an awful teacher, and an extremely unfair marker. Even if you think you are a good student, and can handle a challenge, she is quite simply unreasonable about marking. At first I thought she was just being critical to push us further, but after meeting with her several times, I realized that she often docks marks without justifying why.

Do not go into this class if you have high expectations for your mark. Prof. Bobby is nice enough, but she is a very hard marker, and often doesn't justify why she docked marks if you ask. Sometimes she contradicts past statements, which can lead to confusion over assignments, but she is usually able to meet with you to discuss problems.

She pretty much taught me how to write at a university level, from scratch. Started out getting 50's and ended up with an A. Most development in a subject that I have ever had. It should be mandatory to take her course.

I did this course with her by distance. She is very well organized, and if you e-mail her for help, you will get an e- mail back the same day. She is involved and concerned for her students. I found her to be an excellent prof! She is very picky, but that is good for me, as I am planning on doing an English degree.

She is a good person, however there are soo many assignments. Very hard to keep up with all the papers. Plus she grades fairly hard. If you are looking to do english, she's probably a good choice. But if you're just in it to get the course probably not your bet option.
