Comment:

Gave great notes that went with the text book (great text) that were easy to study. He is a funny little man and says the most random things. Tries to be as helpful as he possibly can but he just assumes everybody gets the material instantly, also not very clear on what was expected for final=Hard but Midterms= pretty easy.

Isn't all that clear to understand. Assumes that students should find the course easy. Does not post outline, grades, or notes online, yet post lectures which is good. Studying the book, page for page, is really recommended for this course.

We didn't finish the course. He goes too slow in class and goes off topic on things we don't need to know and we ended up leaving out 2 chapters. Don't approach him for help, he desn't actually answer your questions. The tests are fair, the labs are rfelatively easy. Use your book!!!!

Has never been so personally offended by anyone, let alone a prof. Horrible for help, VERY rude when approched for help. Basically made you feel stupid for not knowing something. he was so bad, I almost went to the Chem dean to complain. Labs are good at least, my lab instructor was amazing, and the writeups are easy.

Great prof! He's very nice, and knows his stuff. He posts his lectures online which is good if you miss class. You have to go though, I don't think he posts his notes online... Prepare to draw lots of structures! Bring white-out.

Not the best prof i've had. His notes are all over the place. However he does respond to emails very quickly and loves it when you go to his office. His tests are very fair but the final is brutal. The labs are fun! But the write ups can be annoying. You will 100% need the book to get through this course

Best prof at Mun! He answers emails almost immediately and is very helpful in answering questions if you go to his office. This course requires a lot of work and memorization but his tests were very fair. Overall, a great prof, very approachable and friendly! I don't overly like chemistry but I would do a chem degree if he taught every course

Notes are not overly organized but he follows the textbook almost page for page. Highly recommend getting the textbook. His tests are fairly easy if you put the effort in to study and you attend class regularly. Don't use your laptop in class!

His notes are somewhat unorganized, but the book is very helpful. First and third tests are easy, second is hard but he makes the lowest mark worth less then the other two. He's entertaining during class, funny. I would reccomend him!

HORRIBLE ! Makes the course so much harder than it is. His tests are brutal, and nothing like the book or what he does inclass. He is very ignorant when you go to see him. He had a 40 % class average on our second test and blamed it on the class being lazy. Avoid him at all costs! .. PS: Dont use your lap top in his class!

DO NOT TAKE CHEM 4430 WITH PARIS UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. HORRIBLE LECTURER, EXAMS WITH QUESTIONS SHOULDNT EVEN BE ON A CHEM TEST. DONT BE FOOLED BY HIS SMILE, HE IS VERY HARD TO DEAL WITH IN PERSON AND NOT VERY POLITE EITHER.

This course is extremely difficult no matter who teaches it. I thought he did a pretty good job for the amount of material we had to cover in a short time period. Notes are ok, but the textbook is the best way to learn. Bruice's text is excellent! Tests and the final were fair with some questions right from the book. 2400 requires alot of work.

I like him, however I can see how others might not. His notes are useless, unless you compliment them with the text. Very friendly man however, very approachable. Loves to talk to students about anything, especially his research. However, unless you can compliment his teaching with you teaching yourself, you may want to avoid this profs class.

I like how he writes the notes out on the overhead as class goes on, makes it easier to see the organic structures. If you use the notes more as a supplement to the text you should be fine. He's very helpful when you go to see him, and will let you look at the notes from class. Very nice man, and his tests are very straight forward and fair.

A very nice man, and very easy to talk to if you have a question. He is a all over the place sometimes, but in all I learned a lot from his class and found his tests very fair. You put in the work and you will see that reflected in your mark.

God, he's terrible. Doesn't make sense at all and really doesn't seem to like first or second year courses. He's not helpful at all! I would recommend Dr. Pansare over him any day!
