Contrary to popular opinion - considering his involvment in all things academic and creative - I find him to be very organized. He's passionate and know so much about the subject matter. The best prof I ever had the joy of learning from.

He's teaching Native stuff from a Native perspective. People that think he "sucks" as a prof think so because they want him to teach like a stuffy "white guy". If they don't like his class, it's because they just don't get it, which makes me ashamed to be of a generation with a bunch of other close-minded, beer-guzzling losers.

Fairly unorganized though was quite knowledgeable about the topic. He liked joking around excessively and quite often he'd spin out of control entirely; the lecture topic abandoned for some completely unrelated humorous anecdote. He is obviously brilliant but he's an artist, not a teacher in my opinion...

Is very knowledgeable about many topics and methods. His unorganization is complimented by his caring for students success. His teaching style is representative of his time with the old people, but his class work expectations is that of the Olde European Scholars. Tough, but approachable; unorganized but persistent in supporting students

He is very helpful if you want extra advice on assignments. Assignments were appropriate for the class, not to much or to little. The only thing was he is kinda unorganized! My study notes were all over the place not in order at all, jsut hard to follow.

He is a waste of time. During class he wants everyone to participate and then when you do its like he doesn't even listen and jumps to the next point. Seems like he is a fraud and just asigns random things with little thought. Dont ever take one of his classes unless you want to be bored and angry.

Neal is a very good prof. He tends to go off on tangents but he knows his stuff, and all his extra stories, are relevant. I would take a class from him again. All you have to do is pay attention, and you can get a good mark, got 98% on the midterm. Really good for help out of class. Awesome prof

He's awesome, I loved his class. He's very knowlegable about what hes teaching, he loves his work. Hes a definate hotty as well. Hes got sexy eyes. If you have to take this class. Take it from him.

The T.A. who corrected my paper did not read it carefully(it was obvious from her comments)I approached Neal he told me to go back to her. He never even READ it!I'm not going to disagree with another student,it would be a power struggle.It was blatant laziness and says a lot about his character

His class is not bad. I don't find it hard to follow at all. On a good note, I sleep in class, and didn't study, but still managed to pull off a 60% on the midterm. On a bad note, he does not try to make the class interesting at all.

Growing up I criticized my father for perpetuating the stereotypes Neal uses as joke material:Bannock,The Empire Hotel,KFC etc. Not appropriate.They should get an english 100 student to edit the photo copied text book before they charge $55.00 for it.

He does tend to be unclear on quit a few things,but it is becasue he knows alot about the subject!He is very approchable, and you will be astounded by his wealth of knowledge! AND he doesn't like failing people!
