Neil is a fantastic instructor. He makes his expectations clear at the beginning of the semester, and if you follow instructions, you'll do well. Simple as that. Don't be afraid to ask questions - he's understanding and always willing to help. One of the most friendly and approachable profs I've ever had.

Neil conducted his class in a clear, organized and efficient way which made it easy to understand. He knows his stuff and his marking system is fair. If you put in effort and listen to his criteria and feedback anyone can do well. Class was interesting and there was no final exam. I'd take a class with him again for sure.

Human Geographies and Global Change (GEOG 101) was incredible. If you're into learning about the world, globalization, and people, then this course may be of interest to you! Hanlon's assignments were tough, but in the good way. His lectures were well-organized and easy to take notes for. I'm so grateful for what I learned in Geog 101!

Just so damn pretty! wonderful prof too! Willing to help out wherever needed and extremely knowledgeable in all areas studied. A great guy and a great prof. Just be prepared to work, and attend class. He takes attendance VERY seriously!
