First I hate biology, but there is no one else I would have rather taken the class with. Yes, there were labs that were pretty time consuming, but as long as you do the work you will get an A. He was also very understanding about my computer acting up and accepted my assignments after the due date! Take him if you have the chance!

Professor Butkevich is a nice guy. The lab practicals were very simple if you study the labs, but the regular exams were usually pretty tough. You need to be in class, and you need to do a lot of studying to make it through this class. It'll be worth it in the end but even though he's a nice guy he still is a tough teacher.

I took 237 and 238 hybrid with him and got 4.0 in both. Take hybrid if you have the time and willingness to teach yourself everything. Since it's hybrid, he doesn't lecture much in class. But he gives very detailed powerpoints. Just memorize and understand the powerpoints and you will get an A. He's very helpful so if you have a question, ask!

This guy is the man!! Real funny, but I think I was the only who laughed at his jokes. His exams are straight out the notes (THAT HE PROVIDES) just show up to class and take notes, shouldnt be a problem.

Professor Butkevich is a wonderful professor. He is extremely fair in his tests (all material are from the slides he gives you, and he gives you the written portions before hand). He is very detailed and precise in lab, and will correct you if he notices you are not performing proper technique. Overall the class was very enjoyable.

Hes straightforward with his lectures and his exams are based of his lectures. He passes out handouts of the slides so you don't need to right any notes. He's super helpful if you have any questions. Take his class, you won't regret it.

He's know his stuff but loads WAY too much stuff on his students. This is supposed to be a basic biology class and it was anything but basic! Labs are ridiculously long! If you are majoring in biology, he's a great professor! If you're like me and you have to take a science class, steer clear of this professor! Easy grader, hard homework!

Excellent professor! Nick Butkevich is clear, concise and very willing to assist his students. I have taken him twice at Schoolcraft so far, and I thoroughly enjoy his teaching methology. He lets you know prior to a test what to focus on. Totally recommend him.

Everything is very straight forward and tests are based off printed PowerPoint's he has created. Also tells you in advance what test will cover and what you should focus on. Make sure you study! The only grades you really receive are tests, lab tests and 3 or 4 points for actual labs.

This was my only class I had to take at Schoolcraft and professor Butkevich was a phenomenal teacher. I recommend his hybrid class because all lecture materials were studied online and class was only for lab. Very fair, very incredible professor.

Great professor. Everything is clear cut and straight forward of what is expected throughout the semester. Being that the class is hybrid, you only meet once a week so you're responsible for reading the lecture notes and lab handouts in order to pass the exams. Easy A if you work for it.

Mr. Butkevich is a very knowledgable professor. He is extremely helpful and is able to explain and clarify questions being asked. He uses only powerpoint and all tests are based off of them. The textbook is helpful if you are confused or need to fill in the blanks, but is not necessary.

Hybrid class,Great teacher, approachable, & helpful. What he expects you to learn for exams is clearly laid out in the power points, textbook was helpful if you need a little more clarification. He tries to provide as many helpful aids as possible. Short answer questions are provided prior to test. Just study and getting an A is definitely possible
