Besides some small exceptions, this class was mostly review of grammar concepts (though it was very helpful). There was a little rough start to the semester in terms of switching from paper tests (in past German classes) to online tests, but it was an enjoyable class overall. Dr. Vazsonyi is a genuine, nice guy, and explains things very clearly.

He is such a nice and funny person. Lectures can be long, but he post the power-points online. Do not forget to do the quizzes which are easy and straight from the powerpoint. He cares about his students, and his accent makes the class interesting. Quizzes, midterm, and final are all online, so make sure to use your resources and it is an easy A.

Prof. Vazsonyi's class is amazing. He really gets into what he's teaching. Definitely get ready to read, he incorporates the readings into class and tests. Posts lectures online after class, but explains so much more in class. Loves participation. There is no textbook, just an optional book for better explanation purposes.

Dr. Vazsonyi is very passionate about what he teaches, which makes the learning process much more fun. He is constantly enthusiastic about German culture and you enjoy learning because of that.

Professor Vazsonyi's class on the story of Faust was a fun and enlightening experience, due primarily to the open dialogue he encourages throughout the discussionslectures. I consider him a great professor, with the only caveat being that those who dislike deep analysis of text might want to avoid this class, as that is pretty much all you'll do.

I LOVE HIM. Yes he may not be German, but his level is perfectly fine! And it helps that he speaks english once in a while to recap on everything. HE LOVES this subject and pours his heart and soul into every lecture. He loves when people talk, and eventhough it was a lot of reading it was never boring. It wasn't easy, but it was so fun.

He's a cool guy who really likes classical music and wants his students to do well. I wasn't getting adjetive endings and he spent some time and found me some practice work. He really cares about his students and gives homework out of the books. I was a little late sometimes b/c of where my other classes were and he as always really good about it.

Arrogant professor who does obviously not care about students. Seems to be uncomfortable when speaking German and does not speak it very well although he teaches German!!! Would not take a class with him again.

Knows his stuff insofar as subject matter is concerned, but his pretentious academic trappings, as well as his inflexibility/apathy towards student circumstances and emergencies are disheartening. If you have to juggle a busy family life with school, avoid this man's classes at all costs.
