I studyied under Nick while he taught at Carleton University. Although I only had the opportunity to take two courses from Nick, he was the best prof I had during my entire undergrad. His passion for sustainability showed and I learned more of current environmental issues from his classes than all of my other courses combined.

Nick is a great professor, he is extremely knowledgeable in his field and loves to learn new information. He is good at relating concepts to everyday situations. Genuinely cares about how his students do and will go above and beyond for them. Take notes because whatever he says in class is fair game! One of the best profs at Grenfell! :)

Can honestly say I have never met a more interesting man. He lectures from experience and his classes are ALWAYS interesting. His intro classes are a lot of regular lecture, you are expected to take good notes, and LISTEN UP! because he gives lots of hints for your final throughout class. His higher level courses are amazing. So interesting!

Ive been in school for 4 years now and nick is by far the best professor there. He is amazing! Ive done 4 courses by him just for interest sake because i knew that the courses would be well-informed and very interesting! He is well educated and knows about everything!! haha. I was never bored in his class and if you asked a questions he could not answer he would come back with the answer the next day. He love for his students is remarkable and he goes well out of his way to help, with both academic and personal problems and has no problem extending deadlines.
