professor that stands there and lectures for the entire course with little dialogue or other things happening aside from that. she gave us nearly impossible papers to write with little to no explanation of what she actually wants in said papers. In the end she gave me a grade I didn't earn and then was on vacation when I tried to reach out

Worst professor I've ever had. I thought I loved her because it is true she is extremely intelligent and a women to look up to, BUT not a good teacher. If you write anything or say anything that doesn't go by her political agenda she will hate you. I went to office hours and she told me that it was so simple anyone could do it, belittling me.

The pros: Prof. Fermon is brilliant. She clearly knows her material well. The cons: She's not clear about what she wants. Her discussions are so tangential that taking notes is impossible. Assignments were tough - a 10-page (single-spaced) annotated bib, and a 14-page final (with one week to do it). I learned a lot, but it wasn't worth the pain.

Professor Fermon is a wonderful teacher. I took her class to decide whether or not to major in Women Studies and it was great. She only assigned a midterm, a final, and a short paper + presentation. She is brilliant, engaging, and has a good sense of humor, which made the 2 hr and 45 min class very bearable. Easy grader. Easy to reach out to.

I get along with her great and she adores those who are interested. But she can rub you the wrong way at times. She is intelligent but sometimes it can all seem pseudo-intelligence. When everything becomes a victim complex you can't help but roll your eyes which she will notice. Intense but not hard. She is a radical feminist theorist

Prof. Fermon is one of the most intelligent and helpful professors that I have ever met. If you want to do well in this class doing the reading is essential. Feedback on papers was super helpful in scoring well for the next one. Definitely take her.

My first time rating a professor. I thought Fermon was the best Fordham offers. She's takes no bull, strict rules on late papers,if your late with assignment, she won't even look at you or except your paper, the key is be responsible for your own deadlines, all and all I learned a lot from Prof. Fermon and respect her style. Women and Film.

Still not sure how this class falls under Political Science... Nice to get a chance to see some classic films, and would be an interesting class, but Fermon is very close minded and an impossible grader. Essays must spit back out her own arguments, but good luck trying to figure out what those even are with her meandering lectures. Not an easy A.

ugh.. so bad, hate the class. she's very clear with her explanations but she likes the way she interprets and it's all that really matters. opinions are encouraged but if they deviate from her view, smashed! but in this kind of nice, mocking, friendly way. she gives me nightmares.
