He was TERRIBLE! he forced me to drop his class because he "wants his students to succeed and I wan't going to". He would not work with me. He said it was that or fail his class. He gave me a 40% on a test because my English wasn't great but all of my information was correct. The only way people did well in the class was to cheat.

Professor Sellars is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he's teaching and it shows throughout his lectures. The class is mostly lectures which makes it difficult to stay alert if you don't find history engaging. The tests were essay based, making it easy to prepare for but parts of the tests were never discussed before hand.

Dr. Sellars is a very caring person but I found his lectures hard to concentrate on. The information that was on the tests wasn't always covered on the study guide and the quizzes were at times unpredictable. Overall the class is manageable but could be structured better.

Dr. Sellars is old and likes to talk A LOT lol. His class is boring but hes very knowledgeable about all his topics. Tests are pretty easy if you study the study guide. He lets you grade your own quizzes so you basically choose your quiz grade. Very easy class. Hes very willing to work with you and is very quick to give extensions on the paper.

Sellars was probably one of the worst professors I've taken at CNU. His liberal views often make him rant in class about his ideal society that will never exist, instead of lecturing. His quizzes are weekly and not too difficult but often on content that I find irrelevant. His paper lays out well what he wants but he does not provide good feedback.

Dr. Sellars is very caring and sees the potential in every student. He is knowledgable beyond belief in his area of study. Lectures can sometimes be a bit dry but you will definitely learn a lot. The tests aren't too difficult but there is a lot to memorize. He quizzes you about once a week. He is understandable and willing to compromise.

Sellars class is extremely lecture heavy; however all of the information is useful. The weekly quizzes are incredibly easy if you study the night before, and while his tests are a little tricky, I always managed at least a B. He's very caring and grants extensions on papers without hesitation. Would strongly recommend him.

Dr. Sellars is a great professor that gives amazing lectures and really makes history come alive. He has all of these cool stories that if one slight thing was changed history would be completely different. He is super liberal and makes it obvious but thats ok with me :). Quizzes once a week and one term paper for the semester.

Sellars is truly an intelligent person. I took his Sports in America class and he is very knowledgable about sports. Quizzes are easy, tests are straight from the study guide, and attendance is not mandatory. There is a term paper that counts for 20% of your final grade but he is not strict on the grading for it as long as you follow the syllabus!

Class is a breeze. Fully 2/3 of the class didn't show up to the class on non-quiz/test days. Bit harder to get an "A", but still very straightforward. Any shred of effort will get you a passing grade in this course, and actively trying will guarantee an "A".

Dr. Sellars made a class I was really interested in, almost unbearable to go to. He goes though 70 powerpoint slides in a 50 minute class. The first test, he gave us no directions and graded harshly without telling us what it would be like. He got 3 weeks ahead of his syllabus and half the class never showed up. There are much better history profs

Nigel Sellars is the best kept secret at CNU. If you're ok with sitting down for 50 minutes, letting him go through his power point slides, and you kind of take this class seriously, then getting an A is pretty much secured. 3 tests, one being the non comprehensive final, one 3000 word paper, and like two homework assignments. Easy grader.

His lectures can be pretty boring and his tests are completely fill-in-the-blank and essays, but that's the only hard thing you'll do in his class. All of the online quizzes aren't due til the end of the semester and you can keep taking them until you get a 100. I forgot to do 2 of the writing assignments and he accepted them all full credit anyway

I think Sellars is an awesome person. Funny, easygoing, and kind, you cannot mess up in his class. But that's just the problem. As great a person as he is, he is very disorganized and a bit clueless. Sometimes it makes the lessons a bit dry. He does teach some of the most interesting subjects though.

Dr. Sellars is an excellent professor. He gives you plenty of time on assignments and tests. He is a tad bit dry sometimes, but for the most part is an awesome history professor. You can really tell that he knows what he is talking about.

Teaches by powerpoint(ew), but gives you two classes to take the tests. You don't need to read the books, he posts his powerpoints online. He is understanding about late papers as long as you ask for an extension before its due.

This guy is great. He makes his liberal bias known but keeps it out of the material. He always highlights interesting facts and makes history more interesting. I loved this class. He was very understanding when I made a dumb freshman mistake and missed the paper due date. I recommend this dude.

Professor Sellars is a great guy. He knows a ton about history and is very helpful. If you are really interested in history, you should really enjoy the class. If you're not too interested in it though, just study for the tests and you'll do fine in the class
