Comment:
This prof wasted most of the semester attempting to explain simple concepts through very long and confusing proofs. I stopped attending class and instead spent my time following the textbook and came out of the midterm with an A. I recommend avoiding this prof at all costs.

she never made it seem like it was ok to ask her questions she would make you look like a fool if you tried, also her lecture were entirely proof based she didn't really expand into most of the topics

Spends majority of class time on proofs that are not testable and create confusion. Struggles to keep classes attention as she rambled numbers and formulas but struggles to explain the meaning and purpose. Textbook is a more useful learning tool than attending all the lectures.

Very bad prof, spends 90% of class time going over proofs which you don't even need to know and make the content seem more confusing then it is. Whenever someone asks a question she makes them feel stupid and doesn't even answer it. If you take this class buy the grants book and you'll do way better then you would by just going to class.

She goes through proofs for 90% of the class spends 10% of the time on what we actually need to know. She does not post the notes online and her UMLEARN is blank. This could have been a nice class but I learned more from my TA in the lab then I did in her class. Her notes are basically what's written in the textbook reworded to be more confusing.

Has an extremely hard to understand accent. When you go to her office to point out mistakes in how she graded your papers she doesn't care and tries to take off more marks for almost correct work. Doesn't care for the students and wastes large amount of class time.

Doesn't waste any class time, yet will still slow down, or let students ask questions if things are unclear. Tells you what's most important to know, and what type of questions will be on the exams& quizzes. Very approachable after and outside of class. Excellent prof, but reading textbook and doing lots of practice is still crucial for Math1300

She is very nice but the problem is that she goes through proofs and those take 90% of the class. I understand that proofs are helpful to understand concepts but they are not testable. I wish she did more examples in class and posted the notes online. This could have been a very easy class but a lot of the learning I did by myself.

Does nothing but power through notes, not much help overall. Practicing on your own is a necessity to pass.

Just okay. Moves way too quickly through the material and her examples in class are much easier than those in the textbook and on the exams. DO THE HOMEWORK. She's not the most pleasant woman either, and has a bit of an accent, but it's comprehendible.

At first her teaching style threw me off a little, but after about a week or two of classes her lectures became easy to follow. Her notes are extremely organized and she is very friendly and helpful if you have questions outside of class.

Its easy to understand what happens in class and her notes were clear but lots of exercises in the text book were way more difficult than the examples done in class so I'd always go to the help centre. Textbook questions are a MUST to do well.

Accent doesn't get in the way of clarity; sentence structure does, though. Classes moved fairly slowly and were very boring.

Very clear, accent is hardly noticeable. The notes were a little confusing, but when paired with Grants actually make a lot of sense. Pretty good proff.

Sounds like she's from eastern Europe. Her sentence structure and speech has no flow which easily results in lack of understanding the concepts she is trying to get across. Extreme lack of clarity. She does ask if anyone has questions, but her inability to explain thoroughly due to English being a second language , is a major set back.

I really like her. She has very clear organized notes and explains topics really thoroughly and clearly. Seems to genuinely care about students, always checking that everybody understands, asking if she should repeat anything. Make sure you do at least most of the suggested homework. Absolutely beneficial to go to class. I reccommend her.

She's definitely extremely knowledgeable, but does not find many methods to clearly explain the material in an entirely comprehensible manner. As many might agree, she saturates class with excessive amounts of proofs which are obviously not as beneficial as examples. Overall, she isn't a bad professor, though she's also not the greatest.

A very tough course that's 90% theoretical, which didn't sit well with me as I'm the type that prefers working out practical problems. Notes are easy to take and fairly clear, but things move a very fast pace and it can be tough to keep up.
