Basically you have group lab reports every week and as long as you make sure your data section is perfect, you will get an S+ on your lab report. Do not stress over any other section because he doesn't read it. Copy everything he writes on the board and you will get an A.

Comment:

Towfik is a little old man who can hardly hear. The first 30 minutes of every class he spends writing the whole lab on the board and not paying attention to anything else in the class. You can show up 30 minutes late and he won't notice. He can be a very picky grader, but once you have the general outline, you're good to go.

An objectionable person in general. He is openly hostile and patronizing to students. He will walk into class, tell them what to do, then sit there as the lab is done. When grading labs, he only cares about the data, and only that you have written something for the other sections. Make sure you're doing the lab correctly or he will berate you.

He is very hard to understand. He speaks very softly and will get mad at you if you ask a question during the lab. As long as you include everything that is written on the board in your lab report, then you should be getting an S or S+. He grades the lab reports in front of you which is nice, but overall I would not recommend taking him for lab.

Make sure that you include everything he writes on the board into your lab report. If you fail to do this, he will start yelling at your group for the data that you missed and lower your grade. Otherwise, follow the procedural setup in the manual and include your data, calculations, and diagrams and you should get an easy A.

I had him for Physics Lab. He didnt give us normal grades. Lab reports were S-, S, and S+. He doesnt tell you any method of grading but just follow the lab report format. There is no individual work. All labs are in groups and each group hands in one report. He is confusing but the work is easy.

Secret to passing the labs: Do exactly what's written on the board. It really doesn't even get any easier than that. Also important to note is that he cares more for the calculations and that you understand what's going on over smaller things like discussions, conclusions, etc.

As long as you kinda know what's going on then it will be a very easy class. Reports are very easy, but you MUST include your calculations and diagrams; he doesn't check the rest and you will get a very EASY A. Since he grades the reports in front of you, never argue, just agree, and have everyone seated because he is small and gets intimidated.

Easiest Lab class ever. For Lab reports, just copy down everything he has on the board (take a picture of the board), include all data and calculations and you will get an A. Calculations are important and he will get on you if there are none. Doesn't seem to read conclusions, just BS a short paragraph or two. In class, just do whatever he says.

He is a nice guy overall and is willing to help you out, but, yes, he is extremely unclear. If you do show a lot of effort, he will see that and try to help you out as much as possible. You should be prepared to teach yourself, and use him as assistance more than anything else.

OMG!! this guy...i could not understand him he is so confusing..barely knew what the hell he was doing in class..all the notes he had were wrong. He didnt even know how to do the experiments and asked us how to do it..umm i believe you are supposed to show us.. HORRIBLE DO NOT TAKE!

Got a B+ in the lab, also had him for recitation, but failed it. What does that tell you? 80% of what he "taught" wasn't on the final exam. Smelly dirty old man who speaks incomprehensibly and writes illegibly. Those checkered flood pants he wears are about as useful as he is as a teacher. I'd take just about anyone for Phys. 3 over him. RUN!

this guy is a funny little dude....hard to understand wit his bearded face....funny hair....incoherent writing....lost at times..knows his stuff, just doesnt know how to teach it (typical NJIT prof).....u can walk in late, talk and i even made fun of him witout him even noticing, walk in and tellem suttin random, chances are he wont even hear you

All I have to say is hairband. This class was cake. All you do is copy, do the lab and hand it in. My group always left 30 min early and we fooled around for most of the time. The best part is he cuts out more than half the lab. The easiest class at NJIT, by far.
