Online class was horrible. Did not teach at all. He has you read seven chapters over seven weeks and do six essays. Then a test is given that has nothing to do with any of the notes that he gives at the beginning of the class. He never taught. It was all power points and notes that were already done up. I don't know what I was paying for.

I enjoyed his teaching style-it was different, but I learned more from him than any other psych or soc instructor because it was a self motivating class-you were encouraged to teach yourself about the material and worked!!!He does swear and is honest, but he wants you to be more educated in the topics you are studying. I highly recommend his class

Yes, this guy can be HORRIBLY rude. Despite this, the online course is easy. Seriously, 9 chapters, 6 essays and two proctored tests. The second test was open book - AWESOME! He will help you, he's just set in his ways. Be patient, and communicate with him as little as possible. For those who like self-study/independent this is great.

This guy is terrifying! He makes totally inappropriate comments and really doesn't care what you think. If you disagree with him, you had better keep it to yourself because you will be belittled in front of the class. Many people dropped out from my class - we were totally unhappy with the class...

I thought this was going to be a hard class after the first day with Norm. However, after the classes went by the more I like it. You def. have to read the chapters to pass. But you discuss the topics and pretty much whatever you talk about is on the test. I really enjoyed his teaching method.

Norm is a terrible professor.!! Very hard to take. Hardass is an understatement. Tests are never what you studied for. If your seeking a 4 point, seek another instructor!!!!!!

All memorization.Do not rely on Norm.Lectures are unorganized and pointless.Will repeatedly explain why he is not teaching.No answer is the right answer.I think he was hired to teach.No teaching talent apparent.He appears confused and lost at times.Can't answer questions,says he'll get back to questions,never does.Sets class up to fail not succeed.

as others have gone before... he does not answer questions, he test banks his tests, so where he gets these ?'s I don't know. He is your audience so you better be a psych prof. or you will do poorly on essays. NO online feedback, maybe once a week to tell you where you should be at & that he is still alive. I would stay away if you need the clarity

This was a very difficult class. I thought his tests were much more in depth than they needed to be. Norm is an odd guy that not many people get along with. Never answers questions, just asks you what you think the answer is--typical psychologist.

I loved this class, really. But if you just want to be spoon fed the info, this is surely not the class for you. Norm really wants you to think "outside of the box" and questions everything you say. Not up for criticism? Then do not take this class.
