she is a tough grader but she's pretty good at lecturing so her 3hr lecture wasn't the worst. she uploads "study guides" which are basically the notes for each class so you don't have to type during class but you do have to attend.

Comment:

Very intelligent and respected. I was scared to take her, but she really wasn't bad. Her syllabus is VERY confusing. Take time to sit down and note the due dates at the beginning of the semester because she doesn't really remind you of them. I learned from this class, but the work was tedious. She pushes you so that you will be successful.

This woman is interesting. Her syllabus is probably the most confusing thing in the world, even though she thinks otherwise. She calls all of the assignments "projects" making even minor things, like signing a paper, seem super stressful. She is funny sometimes and she's very knowledgeable, but her opinionated demeanor makes me feel weird.

Her syllabus is confusing, but the work is minimal. I was scared to have her after these reviews, but I had a great experience in her class. Just read her notes and study guides, and you will ace her exams. You can't BS her class, but if you actually try, you will do well. (final is optional and online)

Dr. G-H is a good instructor but she definitely holds you to a high standard. Make sure to do the readings because she will call you out on it if you don't and answer her questions!!! Use the study guides she gives and you should do fine on the exams. She is a tough grader on papers and projects though. She's the only 1 who teaches this course so..

Dr. G-H demands respect but also gives it. I thoroughly enjoyed her class & loved her lectures. She knows SO much about what she teaches, which keeps students intrigued. She also has great stories/experiences to help relate the information that she is teaching. She really challenged me to think out of my comfort zone & I am very thankful for that.

The first day of class Dr. G-H tries to intimate you. But by far this is one of my favorite HDFS classes. Although she makes you work for your grade, I learned so much in this class. She relates all the material to one of her real life experiences which makes it very interesting. It is not an easy A at all, but if you want to learn take this class.

LOVED Dr. G-H. She's a hilarious, no-nonsense woman. Do your job as a student and she'll love/respect you too. Class is easy, just go and take moderate notes. Exams were not hard and other assignments were minimal. Use her office hours if you need them and she'll be extremely accessible and open to conversation.

She's probably the worst professor i've ever had. She is strongly opinionated and doesn't like to help you during office hours when you have questions. She's also rude and very blunt. I had to take this class for my major, but if you have the option, don't take her!

First things first, I only got a B- because she grades with a points system and my final grade replaced my first terrible exam grade. Her final is optional which helps to replace a bad grade. Please make sure you read the syllabus and follow it as she never helps you. She always says "its in the syllabus". Participate and do the readings.

The material in her class is useful and eye-opening; however, they are very broad topics. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what she wants on her exams. Her exams are difficult but if you do the study guides, and read the material, you should be able to pass the class. Make sure you read and follow the syllabus to a T.

She may be the rudest and worst professor at UD and maybe in the world. Her guidelines are absolutely 100% unclear and she expects you to know far more than she tells you. She brags about herself the entire class and will make you feel insignificant and inferior. Do not take this class unless you want to be annoyed all the time.

Reading reviews on here made me nervous to take this class but overall the material discussed was very interesting. Dr GH definitely is sassy & intimidating but makes class funny & has a lot of stories relating to the topics. No homework, 3 exams, 1 major project. Not a terrible class but her syllabus is horrible & SO unclear so read it carefully!

I would stay clear from this class if you are not required to take it. She is very opinionated and makes it clear what her beliefs are, if you disagree with her keep your mouth shut because you will get attacked for it. Gives you study guides but in total they are 20+ pages for each exam and she does not specify on exactly what you need to know.

Super sassy and super awesome - words cannot describe. Absolutely love this woman and her class, but her syllabus and instructions are so unclear (I never knew what the heck I was supposed to be reading for class). Her exams are slightly obscure but not too difficult if you study with the study guides. Overall, she rocks, and everyone should take

Very harsh grader and tests can be brutal since its pretty unclear on what to study. If you don't have to take this class then I highly suggest not taking it. It's a lot of effort with very little beneficial rewards.
