For ten years, I've wanted to tell Dr. Stafford why Gone With the Wind, and NOT Moby Dick, is the great American Novel. The G.A.N. would have Americans, great or not, wanting to read it, and NOBODY wants to read Moby Dick, NOBODY! His classes were among the most painful ever. Because of him, there are books out there I will never read again.

I can't say anything bad about Dr. Stafford. Definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had and one of the most interesting people I've ever met. He went out of his way to help me succeed even when I probably didn't deserve it. Great sense of humor, brilliant man. Deeply cares about his students -- very supportive. I strongly recommend him!

I also took him for hnrs lit, he is one of my favorite professors on campus, actually teaches you what you need to know instead of leaving it up to you to find it in a book or online. Would recommend him to anyone, and hope to take him again in the future
